Description
Lollipops molded into the shape of a whistle. One of the more annoying candies, no wonder incidents of child abuse increased in the 80s.

I remember these. I used to bug the crap outta my mom with them. She also hated it when I chewed green apple gum. She thought it "stunk to high heaven" in her words.

Hard candy on a stick and the whistle worked well. It got kinda chewy after awhile. They were good for annoying anyone within a country mile! My sister's fav. was watermelon which my dad said "stunk to high heaven"

Whistle pops were awesome! No one seems to remember it, but I used to buy them in Chocolate and Vanilla flavors, too. I don't know why I'm the only person who seems to remember them being available in those flavors. Like "court", I too was a bit disturbed by how much spit would build up inside the whistle. Then when you would blow it, the spit would bubble out and the whistle would make a gurgling sound. Gross! LOL I still miss these. :(

OMG! These were my favorite all time candies. I would get them all the time, but, after a while they stopped being made.

Megan, yes the stick moved in and out and changed the pitch, if I also remember correctly the wrapper had sheet music on the inside... could be wrong... Loved these thigs but they really were the most annoying candy of the time.

First introduced to consumers in 1975. Found them recently for sale, 48 for $14.99 -- I just had to check since I remember these being oh so good. http://www.theonlinecandyshop.com/browseproducts/Chupa-Chups-Whistle-Pops.HTML

White in the name is a sure sign of racist marketing. Boycot this product and give my money!
