Why won't they make them anymore. They were the best. I've searched the internet for places all over the world that might sell them. I have found nothing. I've even tried to cantact fritos company itself and I got nothing.

They came out with a limited edition a few years a ago in Little Rock,Arkansas. I bought about 5 bags and they have never been back out.

I used to eat these with lunch almost every day in HS. They were awesome.

I live in Texas, and there is a food market called HEB here. Like many other food markets, they make and sell their own brand of food items, and they have their version of Fritos, Ranch Fritos, and Chili Cheese Fritos. The Ranch flavor tastes great! They taste just like the Frito brand.

A bag of ranch Fritos and a Mountain Dew was also my healthy lunch everyday in HS. Why do they alwaya quit making the good stuff?

They went so well with a turkey and swiss sub. Awesome!

The crunch..the FLAVOR..it was life changing. I can still remember mai favorite snack. Lunch time at my school was the best time, so i could purchase a snack sized bag for 50c from the snack lady.

maybe we should use regular fritos and find or make some kind of ranch powder to sprinkle in the bag,of course you would have to moisten them to get it to stick to them good enough,but would have to do just right not to get them to moist or they would get soft. maybe some kind of oil? in a spray bottle,spread them out on a pan,put back in the bag then shake the bag. might work with some time and diff products to get just right. joshuaelliotthutton@yahoo.com let me know if anyone gets it right. to busy to try myself

My husband is at the gas station and I told him not to come home until he finds me a bag of Wild-n-Mild Ranch Fritos. I guess I won't see him for a while! I was born in 1986 and remember eating these in 1st or 2nd grade (5 or 6).. they were the BEST. I used to eat them with a Hi-C fruit punch in the box LOL. Obviously these chips made a big impression on us if we are still looking for them. Come ON frito-lay!!

Short Answer - Items are disco'd due to poor sales and/or high stales. When people ask me why Frito disco'd something and they liked them, then I say "then you must have been the only person buying them".

It's possible the sales were below what we Wild & Mild ones would expect, but there may be another reason. It's called cross-product interference (or something like that). My theory is this: Wild & Mild Fritos were so fantastic, we stopped buying Ranch Doritos; so PEPSICO gave them the boot.

This chips were the best! I rememeber they looked just like the cornchip bag but instead of dull red they were a shiny metallic green! Very nice ! I found a bag buried in a dirty ditch :( the weeds had preserved its color but kinda torned up as well

I too was addicted to these in Texas before moving to New York in '96. I thought it was only the North East that wasn't getting them. Then I read on Wikipedia that they'd been discontinued. I wrote to them via their website. FritoLay.com. I just heard back from someone at Frito Lay Customer Service via E-mail. I'd written to inquire if it was possible they'd ever do a Limited Edition at some point. It looks like an automated letter but here's what they sent me: Hi Rodney, Thank you for taking the time to write to us. We hear you! We're so glad to know one of our past products reached your "favorite snack" list! We understand each brand or flavor will end up being a front runner for someone. We wish we could carry them all. I remember as a young one my mom's friend bringing them to a BBQ and I was ranch Fritos??? So I tried them and it ended up being my favorite and turned out tasting even better than doritos ranch!!! I miss them!!!

GOOD NEWS for Fritos Wild N Mild Ranch fans... I work at Frito-Lay at the Irving Plant (in Dallas, TX) and we will start production of that flavor next week. I don't know when they will be on store shelves or how far outside of DFW they will be shipped. Just thought I would share. Hope U guys can find them at your local store soon! This at least can give U some hope.

I just bought my bag today at my local walmart. I saw the aqua blue frito bag and started freaking out in the aisle and no one could understand. I was so happy! I want to buy them by the case before frito lay takes them away again!
