Didn't this one also have tattoos on the gum wrappers? I used to put them on my tongue.

Last I checked, you can still snag this stuff on the East Coast. The bubble gum variety is more common, though.

This gum lost its flavor about 2 seconds after I put it in my mouth, and yet I still spent my allowance on it. Totally worth it!

Yikes! Srtipes! Fruit Stripes Gum! That jingle plays in my head still to this day when I see it. I remember that crazy zebra in the commercial, usually while watching 'Double Dare'. *sigh* I miss those days.

I can still hear Lord Alfred Hayes reading the promo ad for this at the end of WWF TV. "Promotional considerations paid for by the following."

I remember they had several different packs of these. The yellow and green, pink and purple, etc. To me, the most memorable thing about this gum is that (A.) all the flavors, with the exception of orange, tasted the exact same, and (B.) the flavor lasted about as long as it takes to blink. While it brings back fond memories of childhood, it's almost depressing that stuff like this stays around, and the really awesome things from the 80's are no longer available.
