Any true 80's aficiondo will be able to pick my list apart and tell us yea or ney to each choice. This stems from the fact that Children of the 80's were emotional. We had spirit. We thought with our feelings (amoung other things..lol). We have a whole suitcase of pent-up feelings and emotions all related to the time of our lives when we were simply the best. Inundated with new practical technology at every turn, we were the first generation to have a billion dollars in advertising spent on us; we were the advent of the latch-key generation; some of figured out that we could succeed before we were 40 and went for it, while others amoung us decided that what people called success at 40 was a sham. Looking back at the fads and the cliches, the sockhops and the dark gymnasiums with Stairway finishing our nights, the 'After School Specials' and the Muppets, when a week-end was truly a time for fun and easy living that started on Saturday morning with at least two hours of cartoons...I can't help but feel melancholy. It is a bittersweet saddness that overcomes me, an emotional Child of the 80's, each time I stop and think of the people, the music the life.
Thanks for the space and the time.

Unfortunately only 10 songs can not (by any means) show the artistic orgasm that took place in the specific period. I am pretty sure that I left out at least 200 songs that could easily fit into the Top 10 for many & various reasons. Let's all hope that we will see again such a period.
