Description
You can build with them and they bend like the kiddie straws at McDonalds. I they had joints so you could connect them, they also had a cool noise they make when you bend them.

I remember these from when I was little. For a while they came with the happy meals at mcdonalds.

We had a set of "muscial Popoids". I'd love to see a picture of them. My son made a saxophone out of them and used it when he dressed up like a California Raisin for Halloween! (His costume was a black garbage bag stuffed with newspaper! How clever we were!)

When I was 5, "Santa Claus" came to my nursery school ... It was a big deal ... each kid got to sit on his lap and tell him what we wanted for Christmas ... When it was my turn I climbed up and told him all I wanted for Christmas was the deluxe Popoids set. SANTA HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT! AND DIDN'T TRY TO HIDE IT VERY WELL, EITHER!! He pretty much laughed at me and joked about the toy with the apparently goofy-sounding name to my two teachers. I pretty much gave up on Santa right about this time. (Still got the Popoids, though.)

Still have these, in a bucked with wood blocks and duplo legos. My nieces and nephews play with them when they visit. Don't age too well: They go white in the middle, and pucker or crack on the ends.
