Description
A toy truck that had retractable claws in the wheels to help it over big obstacles. Paws could be locked out for maximum traction but if left inside the wheels, they'd come out whenever that specific wheel was blocked.

This was my favorite toy as a kid!!! I had the Trans-Am Animal 4x4!
Ahhhhhhh Haaaaa Ha Ha ha.....I had all 3! The yellow vette, the Black Pickup body and the Red SUV. The first ones off the shelf had stiff claws that would scratch you! Soon after, the factory put in floppy rubber claws that did nothing but bend. These things were battery hogs to!
I had the black pickup...my hair got caught in one of the wheels once and my mom had to cut my hair out. "The Animal the animal, can anything stop the animal the animal" I still remember the commercials.

I have been looking all over for this commercial. Its my second favorite next to sweet pickles.
I'm pretty sure mine had glow in the dark claws. Is this possible?
