Description
Solid plastic non-poseable cartoon bug soldiers with cheap removable plastic weapons. Came in orange and blue, with multi-colored thorax.

Wholly crap! I remember these from my childhood! Totally forgot about these things! Nice find!
I have just moved into my own house and am taking all of my stuff from my parents house. I grabbed my muscle men and army ants. As I was looking through them I remembered I had all of them except one group of the blue ones.
I remember these I used to play with them al the time as a kid. Man I loved thees thigs.
I had a whole bunch growing up but a pet mouse ate all the rubber butts off of them, lol it also chewed through my nes wires and other elecrical cords. My cat got avenged the loss for me.
I had one set, then dad and I went to the store for another color and I acted up so he returned them :( I always remember pulling off their butt and chewing them up. I know it sounds wierd, which it is.
Lol, I used to rip their butts off and chew em' too.....yea, strange, I guess.
oddly enough, i was another army ant butt-chewer.
These things and my M.U.S.C.L.E men were my pride and joy as a kid. I remember the commercial for these, had an awesome jingle too. Can't find it though!

lmao, I never chewed the butts but I did have a bunch of these when I was little.
LOL I was just looking at the images thinking... geez I must have been the only kid that ruined my pack of army ants by ripping of their butts!!! :D I can't wait to have kids of my own so I can sit around and chew butts with them.

MY DAUGHTER FOUND THEM TONIGHT IN SOME BOXS, NOW SHE IS PLAYING WITH THEM
I love, love, love Army Ants. I still have all of mine from when I was a kid. I found them again a few months ago and noticed what great detail they'd been sculpted with. So I decided to paint some of my favorite ants to bring those details out, I've done about 8 or 9 since then.
