I got mine on christmas day, I think it was in 1987 from my mother. I loved that doll but she eventually broke a few years later I pulled her out of my toy box and the top half of her head came off. I named mine Alicia.

I remember she'd ask you to feed her at times, and she'd also go to sleep. Did she go to sleep automatically or did you toggle something. Also, did she ever cry?

Mine was sooo adorable, had soft face, arms, and legs. She had blond pigtails, and wore a pink romper with I think yellow flowers. She looks like she was cuter than this doll. The sound of her mouth moving was almost as loud as the words coming out of her mouth, which were mostly "wa wa" and "ma ma" right? And you were supposed to "teach" her how to speak? Help me out here! zzzonkout@aol.com

I had this doll! Got it in 87, it had short blonde hair and a pink jumper. She worked perfectly for 10 years!! Found her in the garage in 97, and it still worked even though my parents had never changed it's batteries. It freaked me out, so I took the batteries out and I swear to gosh it still talked. I took it to the field across the street from my house and beat the crap out of it and it STILL talked. I thought it was possessed but then my mom remembered there was a "back up" battery supply in the middle of the doll somewhere. Does anyone else remember a back up battery???

I can't remember if this is the doll I had or not. I remember mine would suggest games to play, and would say "You Choose." And in my young state, I could never figure out what "yhoochoose" was...

I had this doll! I loved her when she was new, but after a while her hair got messed up, and I figured out how to push her eyes down into her head, and then she reminded me of a robot or alien. I don't remember what she said. I mostly remember her from when she was without batteries.

I used to play with this doll all the time! I had the 85 version and I just remember when I would have to go to bed and I couldn't get her to shut off so my parents had to take out her batteries but she would still make noise for a bit. Creepy! After that I just played with her, without the batteries at all!

I got mine at my 7th birthday and I hugged my parents like a million times. It was my number one gift! After a few years she started talking on her own in my closet "turn me over, turn me over" ... kinda freaked me out so I got rid of her LOL

I got my Baby Talk doll for Christmas in 1987 the year my brother was born and I was 6. I loved her and she was a nice suprise. I ended up getting rid of her aged about 12 or so when I outgrew dolls and had no space for them but she didn't work properly after the middle bit got taken out by my sister and left outside in the rain I was devastated. Does anyone know where I can get one to have at my house for my nieces to play with? - I live in England.

I got one of these doll for christmas back in the eighties. My brother and I would play jokes on each other with the doll, and would hide it in each others rooms. So when we would go to bed at night this creepy doll would either start talking from underneath the bed or the closet. It's been 20 years and it still works.( freaky ).. found it in the attic about a year ago, so i thought for one last hurrah the night before his wedding i had his fiance sneak it into the house and put her underneath the bed. Needless to say , he almost killed me when he found the doll...she still lives, and i'm waiting for her to show up at my house someday soon .. lol

I LOVED this doll, today in an acting class I had to recreate my childhood bedroom and I went straight for her and burst into tears. She used to be dressed in one of my baby dresses, pink. I used to have her sleep in a cot at the end of my bed and get her to say goodnight then when I was eight my friends brother let us watch child play whilst babysitting and after that she had to be locked in the garage every night by my mum before I slept. I was scared of her only at night and I loved her still. My Mum threw mine away when we moved house without consulting me. Still can't forgive her. It's the worst thing I've lost.

We just found this doll after 22 years and we put a couple batteries in it and it still works. We used to terrorize our youngest sister with it by locking her in the closet with the doll. We thought it looked like Chucky from Childs Play- the way it said 'let's play' was especially disturbing. To this day our youngest sis will not let us forget how cruel we were to her. Nightmares and all!! Now that we found it at our parents over Christmas w/o her knowing, we are going to surprise her with the 'chucky doll' and do our best to bring back the old childhood memories! She will love us and the doll of course. This doll was and is the creepiest doll we have ever known-- what were our parents thinking. we would never buy a doll like this for our own kids.
