I had one of these Barbies! She had this snazzy pink and silver costume that came with a removable pink tutu. I loved the tape too!

I had a couple of these, too. I really liked to play with them to the music on the tape.

I still have Barbie, Derek, Dee Dee, Dana, and the other girl (can't remember her name), most of the original outfits, and the cassette tape that came with them. I can still clearly hear the beginning of the one track...."We're Barbie and the rockers..blah blah blah"

I had a bunch of these, my mom even sent away the upc codes to get me the tshirt. unfortunetly i sold the tape at a yard sale as a kid.

I had them all!! By the way..the other "ROCKER"'s name was Deeva...LOL

We had these too! I remember when you put Barbie's arms up and put your fingers on her shoulders and hips she would move her arms up and down.

Between myself and my then-bestfriend, we had the whole collection, including the stage and tour van. Ah,good times!

I Still have all of theses dolls, most of the extra clothes and playsets. These dolls were the best. I even have a thin plastic record somewhere.

I just found this Barbie today in my old childhood toys. I thought it was so cool that it included a cassette tape with the band's songs. I can still remember the theme song now!

My sister definitely had this barbie because I remember the flamboyant pink jacket and the white leather mini with the purple belt.

I loved Barbie and the rockers as a kid as well and me and my friends would play with them for hourse and hours non stop. I owned Derek and DeeDee, my friend owned Barbie and Ken, my other friend owned Diva and my other friend owned Dana and Bopsy. We would make Ken cheat on Barbie with Diva and Boysy and we made Derek "gay" with a secret crush on Ken. Oh, we had so much fun playing with those dolls back in the eighties!

I had all of them too. and i had the tour bus too.... it was purple and was splattered with different neon colored paint....... i wanted to live there in real life....... many many memories of fun with this toy...... every once in a while i still get the tune from that cassette stuck in my head :)

These are the oldest Barbies I have, the dancing girls but neither of the guys. I can just hear the sound of them creeking as I move them side to side to make them "dance", some nice chopping action there, + a little hand accessory that had strings hanging from it.

I still have Ken. I still have some of the clothes for him. I had a lot of fun having him ride around in the pink corvette I used to own, but have long since sold at a yard sale. If I knew then what I know now I would still have that car.

Oh wow!!! I remember I had 3 of these dolls. Barbie, Dana and Derek and I had the stage. I remember I got it for christmas back in 1984 I think. And I remember 2 songs: We're Barbie and the Rockers* and the second one went something like We're born with a mike in our hand, singin everything that we can..... omg me and my friends put a show on for our parents and I was Barbie my friend was Dana and my brother was Derek...lol... ohhh the memories!!!!

I like listening to Barbie and Rockers sing in French. They sing better then the English version. Does anyone know who they hired to sing as Barbie and the Rockers both in English and French. The dolls are so plentiful. I have dupicates of some of them and all the dolls. I have their t-shirts too. Both the American version "Rockers" and the European version "Rock Stars". Why was it different in Europe?

Was there a Barbie doll called Dance Club Barbie? I vividly remember some girls on my bus going bonkers at Christmas time,saying that they had to have her. That doll wasn't part of the Rockers was she?

Wow. I had them all. I LOVED my Barbie and Rockers dolls! I listened to that tape for hours on end. I think I still know parts of it. If I listened to it now, it would probably come back to me, haha.
