I had the 1980'2 version of Barbie Dream House and the roof opened up to become a roof top terrace type of thing. One of the roof supports had a tray that would slide up and down to deliver barbies drinks or what ever to the roof.

Sad... I want my 6 year old daughter to have one.. she loves barbies!

Samantha and Sassy chef, you guys are looking for the Barbie townhouse. I got mine for Christmas 1990, but they may have been making them in the late eighties. It was three stories with a draw string elevator.

I also had the 80's Barbie Dream House. I think I got it for Christmas when I was 5 or so. I still have it...found it in my parent's attic. I have since passed it down to my daughter who will be turning 6 tomorrow. She and her little brother have taken all the windows out, and the flowers are missing out of the planters. She still loves it though, just as I did when I was her age.

I had over 180 barbies in my life. i'm 29yrs old & i just discovered your website yesterday. I found dolls listed on here that i had when i was a kid & it brought tears of joy to my eyes. I still have my barbie dream house. It was four levels with pink & yellow plaid floors, a yellow elevator, and pink furniture. I loved that house. I wish i could find one in better condition to add to my new collection.

My parents bought me a barbie dream house from a garage sale when I was a kid. The floor to the second story would periodically fall/collapse, so I remember playing "earthquake barbie" when the floor would give way, causing massive destruction to the first floor.

I had (and maybe still have in my attic, much to my hubby's dismay!) the wicker couch and armchair that is pictured above. I also had/have a dream house but not sure what model. The roof opened and the sides of the house folded down. The back of the house had a sliding door.

Hello, I have a Barbie Dream House purchased in either the late 80's or early 90's and am trying to figure out it's name and when it was made. It is two stories, covered in pink sparkles, has working appliances in the kitchen, working door bell, and exterior lights. It also came with a working bath-tub/shower and bedrom, living room, and kitchen furniture. There is a small porch inside the interior of it's slanted roof. I believe this Barbie Dream House was some type of special edition when it was purchased. This home is no longer in great condition and I would like to purchase another for my daughter. She is looking for the exact one and I cannot remember it's name! Can anyone help? Thank you in advance!

I had the early 80's version that my mom bought me at a garage sale. I had always wanted one, but they were kind of expensive so I had to wait! It had an orange roof and the later versions had a pink roof. I used to spend all day setting up the furniture and stuff and then my little brothers would come storming into my room and knock it all down! Drove me nuts!

We just purchased a Barbie Dream House for my daughter. I am so excited for her to open it for Christmas. I had the one with the elevator but I wrote all over it when I was younger. I don't know why. I wish I didn't do that because it would be nice to still have. I am looking for a picture of it on the internet but haven't found one yet. If anyone has a picture of the old one with an elevator, let me know the website to find it. I miss it!

I had the 80's version as a kid. Many memories still exist. I wish I still had it to pass it on to my daughter. Looking for a doll house for her is hard, I compare every one to the one I had. They don't make them like they use too.

Hello Everyone, I had this big 3-storey Barbie house when I was a kid. It did not fold up and it was BIG and you had to put it together yourself. It came with the "Sweet Roses" furniture and I got it for Christmas in 1990. I want to know more about it, but there is nothing on the internet that I can find other than the "Sweet Roses" Barbie and furniture collections. Does anyone know anything more about the house such as the specific name of it and what year it was made? If anyone does know something more about it please let me know. Thank you!!! P.S. I have a picture of it, but I cannot put the link in due to website restrictions. I will try and put it in with the other pics up above.

OMG I remember getting this dream house when my older sister and I were just little kids (she was born in 86 and I in 88) and we would play with that thing for hours, we even had the furniture. I remember a couple of years later, my older brother and I ripped ken's legs off and my older sister would put him in that chair and act like it was a wheel chair. I miss the good old days. sigh...

Okay y'all! I have found my barbie dream cottage, the 2 story fold out with the terrace on top. I also have the barbie canopy bed but it is missing a heart pillow and top sheet. Plus, the cat, Fluffy, complete with carrier, food dish, cat food and a scratching post (Fluffy's feet still have velcro to stick to the post). I also have a patio set (I do not belive it is an original barbie set) It comes with 2 chairs, a lounger, table with stand and umbrella, and a towel. All furniture has cushions, pink & white stripes. The furniture was a dark brown wicker with a loveseat, 2 chairs and a stool. I also located the food (milk, soda, ketchup, cola, OJ and tv dinners) from one of the barbie fridges that I had. The horses, Dallas and Midnight plus most of their gear (bridles, saddles, etc). A nice selection of barbie clothes....I also found a working microwave in the green color from the very early 80's....It brought back many memories. If there are any takers who would be interested in this, please let me know because I am willing to part with all of this. You can leave me a message here or e-mail: dolphingrl31@yahoo.com.

Ah the Barbie Dream House. The only one I ever thought was worth keeping, was the 3 ft by 4 three piece orange and yellow one I had, shaped like a triangle (the picture is above). Unfortunately, we moved, and I lost my Barbie Dream House. FORTUNATELY for me though, my mother found not one, but TWO at a couple yard-sales. So mine had an extra middle piece, and the two end pieces became a smaller beach house. Sadly, when I was 17 we moved again, and the house stayed in our outdoor club house, ready to be passed onto the younger girl who moved in. My sister and I would play for HOURS thinking of these elaborate situations to put our Barbie Dolls in. ID LOVE to have another one day, regardless of if I have a girl or not. Imagine me explaining that to my doll-fearing husband...

I purchased this 2 story house that is pictured back in Christmas of 1993. It had the rose furniture with a fireplace, chandelier, telephone, doorbell, and mixer that were all battery operated. The refridgerator and bathtub used water. The tabletop was reversible. if my memory is correct, this was very expensive - I'm not sure of the retail price but I believe it was between $300.- $400. I still have this in my garage. I tried to get rid of it but my daughter will not part with it. She took very good care of it and has all the furniture and accessories.

Pool with working shower, 3 story house with yellow elevator w/ all furnishings, yellow stripped blow up furniture still holding air from the 80's, fashion shop, United airplane, corvette, two horses, several dolls, clothes, and even handmade clothes that my Great Grandmother made. It is used and does need some cleaning, any help with pricing or interested in purchasing would be appreciated. Would like to sell all as one.

I recently purchased a large dollhouse (6 rooms) from Craig's list for my 4 yr old. It is changeable and stackable and has 2 patio like bases and white curved fencing. I am trying to find out what it is called - the only thing close to it is a Czech commercial on Youtube and I cannot read the Czech language. The plastic is dated 1993, but the backdrops are dated 1995, can anyone help me figure out the name of it. Man reading all the comments above makes me regret getting rid of my collection - especially since my dtr is now a huge Barbie lover. Never had a dream house and would like to restore the one I bought (it is not in the best of shape and missing the roof and has no furniture) so me and my dtr can play together and maybe pass down to her dtr if she has one.

I'm not even sure if this was a Barbie Deam House or not but I can't find a picture of it anywhere. When I was around 12 I received a Doll House for Christams. I remember putting it together. It had a spiral staircase and a porch swing attatched to the side. On the second floor there was a wall that could be folded out to make a bathroom and bedroom. I sold it when I was 16(12 years ago) and now have a 3 year old daughter and am regretting it...lol. I would really appreciate any help with finding a name or a picture for this "mystery" house.

Hey Barbie fans! I just listed a TON of my stuff from the 70's & 80's on ebay. My parents are moving... so this stuff has GOT TO GO! Included in the listings are the Barbie Dream Cottage/House (early 1980's), Barbie Jeep + Horse Trailer, "Super Vette" yellow corvette, and RV/GMC Star Traveler! If you'd like to get the links, feel free to email me: smidgen77@yahoo.com. You can also just do a search on ebay and I'm sure you'll find them. Most of the auctions have about 3-4 days left on them... so don't delay! I will miss all of it, but I'm sure it will bring it's new owner great memories, as it did for me!
