Description
Burple was a drink mix that came in a expanding container. It started out small but you had to stretch it and add water to make the drink. The commercials jingle was: "Ba ba ba ba baby - woohoo - ba ba ba burple.....twist and stretch? add water to the mix, shake yourself silly, its totally hip! Ba ba ba ba baby - woohoo - ba ba ba burple!"

I just asked someone if they remembered these and they thought I was crazy! I had to look it up online but not many hits on them...I wonder if they still make them...you can still get a lot of these old drinks and candies at novelty stores...

I remember this! I even remember the song on the commercials. "Ba ba ba ba baby - woohoo - ba ba ba burple.....twist and stretch? add water to the mix, shake yourself silly, its totally hip! Ba ba ba ba baby - woohoo - ba ba ba burple!" I was true 80's, the contraption was a silly idea to raise the price of koolaid type mix.

My husband and I were laying in bed last night and that just randomly popped in my head and for the life of us we could not figure out what it was called. Has anyone seen it anywhere online, I know you can still buy off the wall stuff like that, as a matter of fact, I just ordered Koala Yummies(now Koala's March) online. Anyone remember those? YUM!

I've brought up the "Burple" to so many people and everyone thinks I'm crazy!! I can't believe so many people were oblivious to such a great concept. They should feel cheated! And to make up for it, the burple should make a come back!

I have 3 of these burple bottles. 1 pink, 1 orange, 1 purple I would think someone on e-bay would be looking to buy them but haven't seen them on there. Does anyone remember what company made these? Was it General Foods?

I remember getting a purple one from Pizza Hut or something? I filled it in the sink at my grandma's house and then tried to compress it with water in it. It sprayed all over. Then Burple disappeared forever. I'm sure it's still at my grandma's house somewhere...

i know how some of u feel, a lot of people don't believe me either when i say i miss Burple. that was a great invention, colapsable for a small amount of drink. Genius! I would buy it right now, by the case, if they were in the stores now. Man! that takes me back.

Burple was made by Kraft. I emailed them asking for a way to order Burple but received a form letter responce stating that they appreciated my interest, but they no longer manufacture "the popular sports drink" and they would be more than happy to send me coupons for current Kraft products. :P Lame.

I too remember these, Little Ceasars and Dominoes was selling them or giving them away free with a pizza order. I mostly remember the grape. They were totally awesome, and most people I talk to today would have no idea what I was talking about.

Ohhhhh My! I sooo remember having Burple's as a kid. I thought they were the coolest things ever. I think I have the larger Burple's packed away somewhere. I think I have a red, pink, and purple one. I should look for them. I asked people at work before if they knew what I was talking about, and they all look at me like I am crazy. I hope they come back again! That would be cool.

I remember Burple coming in larger containers that were kept in the fridge. I don't remember how big, 1-2 quarts maybe? 2 quarts sounds too big. They also sold small Burples that you carried around with you. They were in the 3rd aisle at Foodland, and even THAT is gone now.

Kraft did not make these, they were made by Lions Magnus I know someone who still works there. I've been trying to get her to talk them into making them again but it's not working.

I coveted the legendary Burple when I was a kid...and FINALLY got one from Pizza Hut or something once. My mom still has it in her attic! My husband and I were talking about these earlier, and he had one or two also.

I remember we used to love Burple not because the juice was any good, but because the bottles were so darn fun to play with when it was gone. We used to poke a hole in the lid and fill the bottle with water, then collapse it aiming the cap at someone else. Made a great squirt gun!

I loved these things! But I did find out the hard way, that if any amount of liquid was in the thing... you can't shrink it back down... or should I say, shouldn't!
