Description
It was such an awesome combination of duckhunt meets VHS tapes. You'd use laser tag guns on the movie...

these were cool when watching the cartoon. when you shot at a character on screen it appeared to respond to your attack
JOELARINIELLO@HOTMAIL.COM - October 05, 2007 - Report this comment
Yeah...It APPEARED to respond! I played with this crap for three hours on XMAS morning one year... I get up to go the bathroom and hit pause on ye ol VCR, I come back and the pause had ran out, as they used to tend to do on the old vcr's in about 45 seconds, Captain Power is fighting his own battle with the J-O-L over here as his wingman!! "Nice shot rookie" I wasnt even playing! I had to face reality, it wasnt me shooting down those enemy craft...It wasnt anybody. ): I put the ish back in the box and never played it again... I would see the box on the top shelf of my closet sometime and be reminded of how Captain Power betrayed me, of how he betrayed us all.

this was and still is mmf of the coolest toys of all time. the show used to come on on saturday mornings as well as coming with a tape. i had every single figure and the white fighter. to this day i don't think there has ever been another interactive t.v. show.

I had the starfighter, never knew about a show or VHS, but I do think I remember seeing commercials with the game appearing to be a 2 player laser tag game with medalions that lit up when you were hit, someone tell me if they remember that, it may be a different game!!!! The star fighter sucked. LMAO at "JOELARINIELLO"!!!!

I totally remember this! Me and my older siblings used to play this all the time. It was a 2 player thing so we'd take turns. They had a cartoon movie and they also had a live action movie too. The guns were ships that you'd shoot and the screen whenever there was a flash of red and yellow or something like that. It could hit the gun and you'd have to start over it you got hit too many times. We actually still have this in storage.

This was a very cool toy/game. I remember my friends would stay over on Friday night and we would get up early Saturday to watch/play Captain Power. I remember Sven Ole-Thorsen played one of the soldiers, he was in several of Arnold Schwarzenegger movies-big dude! Anyways, the show was a pretty uniques concept i haven't seen tried since.

I loved Captain Power, I had the white and black ships and all the figures. The VHS was cool but you could fight the ships with each other too.

Woooooooooooooooooooooooow. I remember getting this for Christmas and having the same experience as the other guy...I left the room and Captain Power kept talking. "Wait a minute...I'm not there." LOL I remember the pilot ejecting from the plane when the light from the screen hit it in a certain place.
Spider-Shan - June 18, 2011 - Report this comment
I remember having one of the action figures...kind of a humanoid/pterodactyl robot thing...anyone remember the name?
James - July 26, 2011 - Report this comment
@Spider-Shan Sounds like Soaron, he was one of the two "bio-dreads" from the tv show. Think of them as like the main bad guy's top lieutenants. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M678PVOf5F0 I loved the show so much.
