Description
Casey was a blue robot toy with a calculator-like LCD screen that changed when the robot talked. It came with cassette tapes that you could play inside of it (like a Teddy Ruxpin).

I loved my Casey. I had him before I could read, so my mom marked all the books and tapes with matching symbols so I could follow along in the book.

I still have my Casey! I love him SO much but he doesn't work anymore :( (I left batteries in him when I was little and they "leaked") I would LOOOVE to have him fixed or get a new one!

I got a Casey back in 86'. We used to put R&B tapes in him. He'd be singin' Keith Sweat hits and stuff.

Casey was a lot of fun. You could use him to learn something or just mess around with him by putting in a Bon Jovi tape or something! It was hilarious! I have no idea what happened to mine.

Wow--i miss this little guy. i remember waking up at the crack of dawn--even after i hit kindergarten, to play the tapes, read the stories, and color in the coloring books. this was probably my favorite toy. I have no clue what we did with it, but it was so cool! nobody i know remembers this little guy--pity.

I saw mine the other day i think. I used to put weird al tapes in him. I miss it, but then again, I don't think I've seen a blank tape in ages, but just think of him singing Flobots or Rammstein...

Melody, that was a common problem in the Casey toys. If I remember right, Playskool didn't produce them for very long because so many had the batteries leak (mine included). The batteries didn't have to be in for very long either. That is probably why it is so difficult to find a one, let alone one in working condition. I imagine one in a box would be worth a lot.

My mom bought me Casey for my birthday when I was 4. He was the greatest thing ever! She never bought me new tapes so I listened to the ones that came with him over and over. One day I found my mom and her friends laughing hysterically outside. To my horror they had put ac/dc in him and he never recovered!
