My real dad got me one for my birthday or christmas one year. I played that thing so much and learned to play the piano and read music on it when I was a kid. It was light pink and I put a Lisa Frank sticker on the left side speaker...of course I cut out holes in the slats so my glorious music would come through the sticker.

We have been on a long search for a micro-sized toy keyboard from around the early to mid 80's. It seems that your description "little hand held keyboard" is what we are looking for. Christine, unfortunately I think you are referring to the Casio SK-1, which is much larger. From what we can remember, it was a PALM sized keyboard that came in a variety of colors (pink, light blue..). Maybe 5" long at most. It was stored in a little flimsy plastic case similar to a checkbook. I believe that only the black keys were functional and they were made of a soft rubber that really only could be pressed down in the middle of the key. Along with the keyboard there was a little paper songbook. Inthe80s - do you have a picture of the toy you describe?? Any information would be helpful. Thank you!!

I know what little piano keyboard you are referring to. I had 2 of them, they were obtained withe UPC codes from cereal boxes (not sure which ones). I paid for the shipping & handling though. I had 2 of these. They ran on little watch batteries. Good Luck!!!!
