I don't think He-Man lived in Castle Greyskull. I'm pretty sure he lived at the palace as Prince Adam. I loved opening the Jaw Bridge as a kid. I think I prefered Snake Mountain, since it had the microphone.

Every little boy DIDN'T have one. Every little boy WANTED one. I hated the kids who's parents bought them this. I had to settle for disappointment.

Girls like them too! My friend and I played with hers for hours. But that's right, it's not where He-man lived, it's where Skeletor lived.
DONDO - July 07, 2007 - Report this comment
no skeletor lived in snake mountain hence the reason for the mic.

everyone knows the sorceress lived in greyskull. man-at-arms, teela, orko, and prince adam lived in the palace. skeletor and the evil masters of the universe lived in snake mountain.

My brother had this and I had She-ra's castle.

My brother had this and snake mountain. he was too little to assemble it so I ended up doling it for him. Snake Mountain was cool cos of the mic. Haha! The trap door which fell into a pit of monsters (of course it was just a decal) was the bomb. This was cool. I'd make my Barbies play in there.

This was one of my brother's favorite toys. It was pretty intricate looking. Does anyone else remember the He-Man movie?

I actually liked the He-Man movie even though it was a bit corny. I bought the DVD last year and still found it entertaining.

I had this - not only did He-Man do battle against Skeletor in it, I also made sure the Luke Skywalker and Han Solo had their turns in here - they just fit so well.

My school had this & lots of other He-Man toys at DayCare (an after-school babysitting program for kids whose parents couldn't pick them up till after work) and we used to fight over who would get to play with it first! I wanted one SO bad for my ninja turtles & my little ponies, but my mom wouldn't let me have it since I was a girl. Oh well, I guess I had to settle for imaginary villainous hideouts. Oh, and when I was in Kindergarten...I remember my classmate GiGi kindly used this castle as the scene for a demonstration (using He-Man & She-Ra, GAG!) on how to "do it." haha.

Opening this up on Christmas Day was a dream come true for any kid from the 80's. There were many cool features about this, the best being of course the trap door. Only the Sorceress lived here and I had many many battles with my action figures with Skeletor attempting to take over Greyskull (he never really succeeds, does he??) and there would be times when all the heroes would be taken out and it looks like Skeletor has succeeded and things look bleak for He-Man and his buddies. But my 10 year old mind always found a way to make He-Man and his allies beat the odds and run Skeletor and his cronies out of Greyskull and back to Snake Mountain where they belong!

My brother had one. It had a microphone that made your voice sound deep and scary.
Stewie - October 25, 2008 - Report this comment
Rita, that must have been Snake Mountain. it had a microphone, Castle Grreyskull did not. But it did have that neat trap door.

I wanted this a lot...but I ended up with that other one they made later on...Snake Mountain? It was purple and it looked like a face. I think it was supposed to be a cave. The mouth moved and you talked into this mic that was shaped like a weasel(?) and it would make your voice echo. There was a trap door and stuff in it so you could capture the He-Man guys in this net. Pretty cool. I played with it more than my She-Ra castle.

Oh man I had everything you could imagine for He-Man, I had all the castles, all the vehicles, all the figures. I can't remember the name of it but my favorite was the bad guys castle from She-Ra, it was awesome. The concept was so cool, like medieval sci-fi. Definitely my all time favorite.
Monster Master - September 16, 2009 - Report this comment
Jeremy, I think you may be thinking of The Fright Zone. I may be mistaken, but they had Castle Greyskull for He Man and his allies, Snake Mountain for Skeletor and his allies and the Fright Zone for Hordak and the Evil Horde.

I still have EVERY ONE of the figures, with ALL their weapons and armor,AND even the MINI-COMICS that came with each character...ALL in cherry shape too...I just looked on some collectible listings on ebay, and brother is about to get PAID!!LOL Monster Master-Don't forget the Crystal Cave for She-Ra,Princess of Power....I always thought they boned on that one, seeing as how we already had Teela, the Sorceress, even hepatic Evil-Lynn(don't lie,you KNOW she looked like she had all the hepatitisis...hepatitises...hepatiti??LOL)..They were STRONG female characters, and we didn't have to get involved with a unicorn shooting rainbows out of his... STILL LOVE HE-MAN AND MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE!!
