Description

Cat's Eye was one of the loudest games I remember playing as a child. It consisted of different colored marbles, 4 different colored cat-shaped marble holders and a cone-shaped marble dispenser. The players pushed in buttons on the dispenser to get colored marbles that matched their cat marble holder. The first person to get all the same colored marbles in their holder, plus the cat's eye marble, (which I think was green) won the game.

I had this game!! And my parents are such chronic pack rats it seems highly unlikely that they ever got rid of it. I SOO wish I could find it. My love for this game has yet to drive me to brave a search of the dark scary batty attic...but it might someday soon. This is one of my most missed childhood relics.

We just found this in our attic from when my husband was a kid, but missing the marbles and when I bought some more, they were too big... does anyone know the size of the marbles so I make sure I order the right size?

CHARLENE, I am pretty sure the marbles from Hungry Hungry Hippos would work. You might have to color one black for the 'Cat's Eye'. HH Hippos is still readily available at any big retail store.

I just found mine in my parent's attic. We are missing some of the marbles too. I will do some research and also check out the HH Hippos game. Thanks.

I loved this game as a kid and nobody I talk to has ever heard of it. It was so much fun...you really rushed to beat your friends. That's what I remember most is pushing the button really really fast and praying for the black cat's eye!!!

I taught kindergarten for 15 years. My students loved playing the game. It is an excellent game for children that are not old enough to count. However, the marbles were always getting lost, "stolen." Mast General Store in Vale Cruise, NC sells marbles. You can also use the ones that comes with chinese checkers.

I always got yelled at by my parents for not putting the marbles back in. I just put them in the side tray so nobody else could win. What a crap little kid trick...oh yeah...

My mom just gave me our old one. It's full of Chinese Checkers marbles. The red ones are mostly gone!!! The cats each have 13 spaces and one for the eye. One color has seven extras and one six. I'm guessing there were 20 for each color plus four black. I have to go get more marbles for mine too.

Loved this game! My brother and I would play this every night while waiting for our mom to come home from work. I thought the eye marlbes were black but it could’ve been a very dark green.
