I had one of these.. they came in a plastic Cauliflower.. you had to open the top to find out if it was a girl or boy and what colour hair and stuff. Just a bad Cabbage Patch rip off

I thought they were pretty neat! I did not see them as a Cabbage Patch rip off. I mean think about it, do you ever run across them on thet net? (besides this website of course). Most people do not even remember them. If we still had the Cauliflower Kids that we had as young children, they would indeed be worth some money today. I actually liked my Cauliflower Kid more than I liked my Cabbage Patch Kid!

I actually have a Cauliflower Kid complete with the plastic case.

I think I got one of those too...but weren't they recalled for fire hazards or something, or was that a different cabbage patch rip off??? It was big news right around christmas time. My parents couldn't get/afford a real one, so I got this other one, and had to get rid of it (thankfully, relatives in england shipped me one - easier to get, I suppose).

I have a cauliflower kid, still with orignal plastic cauliflower!!! She's got long brown hair and freckles. Infact, I hope to not have her for too much longer, as she's going on E bay in the next week or so, along with my 1985 Babytalk doll that scared the hell out of me!!!!

I rememeber being so excited when I seen these in the store and my Aunt bought me one.

I'm totally gutted that you can't get them anymore!! was trying to find one for my sister for christmas cos she got one one christmas and i lost it on boxing day! think 20 years on its time to replace it!

My husband just brought me home two cauliflower kids. A boy and a girl. They were given to him today from an elderly women whos daughter passed away years ago. The girl is still in the cauliflower. I just looked on e-bay and did not find any. Does anyone know anyone that collects them that may want to purchase them?

I had a blue haired cauliflower kid when I was younger. I loved her. I took that thing EVERYWHERE with me. Then one vacation I left her in a motel room in New Hampshire and my mom refused to go back for it. I was crushed. I've been trying to find one on eBay or something but can't find any anywhere. I had those little muffin dolls! Their muffins were scented. I remember those chocolate ones!!!!! mmm They smelled so good, I sniffed them so much!!! lol

I told my husband about the my cauliflower kid and how at christmas a prayed and wished for a cabbage patch kid but with three kids my mom and dad couldn't or better yet won't pay the $35.00 for a doll...just think about how much we spend today on our kids....we all loved our not so top shelf doll....

I remember back in 1986 I really wanted a cabbage patch kid. I just knew I would wake up Christmas Morning and find her in the box. I was FLABBERGASTED to find a smelly Cauliflower doll. I was upset, angry and disappointed to the point of being put on punishment on Christmas Day. My Mother assured me she tried her best but all the CP dolls were sold out and she was told C-kids was the next best thing. I had to earn my right to receive a CP doll for the following Christmas; and once again I received the Short end of the stick by receiving a Cabbage Patch Preemi Baby...all these years later my mother and I have a great laugh about the whole situation...what a great memory. Thanks Cauliflower Kids!!!
