I just gotta say, I just checked eBay and these figures are being sold carded for $320 each!!! Is that seriously the value? I figured they'd go for pennies. It wasn't a famous or successful line.

I saw them at my local Woolworth. I'm sure they were probably at Harts and Rinks, as well, but the Woolworth memory stands out for some reason. They looked pretty cool in the bubble package and almost bought one, but I was serious into Kenner's line of Star Wars toys and Mattel's He-Man toys at the time so I passed on it. I also still have old comics from the same period that pimped Crystar in the ads.

The Marvel comic was pretty cool. The final issue featured Alpha Flight! It was be awesome to see the comic make a comeback.

I had a couple of these, remarkably I managed to keep from losing any of Crystar's accessories. I also used to have the crystal dragon, although his wings broke. My mom gave me some ponytail holders that I managed to kind of half-ass attach them again with.
