Dancerella was an almost 2 ft. tall ballerina doll with dark brown hair topped with a tiara. When you pushed on the tiara, she "danced" around by turning in a circle and kicking her leg up like ballet moves.

I still have mine. It is really hard to make her spin. It's like she has some sort of illness. btw I have the brunette one (much cuter).

I can't believe this is actually on here. I was searching through toys thinking about this doll! I was so proud of my doll I took her to show and tell at school! Mine had dark hair with white tights and a pink tutu!

If you dig out your old Dancerella and want to clean her up, be careful with her hair! It falls out very easily. I don't know if it's just because it's old or if the hair was always defective. (No wonder she originally came with a hair net!) It's shocking to see your doll's hair fall out.

our neighbor was a dancer, and so she got one of these Dancerina dolls, but in the late 60's early 70's. she was fun. they had brown hair, or blonde hair, and was available in a couple diff. sizes

I had one with dark hair and I remember her hair became a knotted mess. She didn't last long, poor thing.

This doll pictured is Dancerina. As others have mentioned the one with dark hair was Dancerella. There are real Dancerella's on Ebay, check them out.

I had this doll for a few minutes until her hair got wrapped around my fingers and my mom returned her. The loss of my doll must have been traumatic because I still remember it at age 36.
