Description

Potted flower that held an instrument and moved when music/sound was made. There were frogs that did the same thing, but they were sitting in a group band-style, so it looked like they were play music.

I still have mine since 1989. Not a day goes by when someone doesn't stop at my desk and clap or whistle. It's a really happy silliness for all ages.

I had one with a rocker chick and my sister had the dude. My aunt gave them to us. My mom didnt let us listen to rock and roll so we had to put different clothes on them and take the guitars off. Ha ha

I had the rock girl. That toy was great! Does anyone also think the i-dog and all the other i-pets are complete rip offs of the original dancing flower?

I still have one from 1989 too. It's favorite song is ROAM by the B-52's! My kids love it. But I keep it packed away most of the time because I want to keep it forever. :o)

My granddaughter had special needs and had many surgeries growing up. She told me last year that every time she had surgery, she pictured my "Sunny, the dancing sunflower" and sang You are my Sunshine to herself as she was put to sleep. I never knew that, and her story gave me tears. She had complete facial reconstruction three years ago. I wish I still had it to give to her. I have been looking, but can't find one. That silly sunflower got her through many rough times.

I had one of these dancing flowers with the guitar, very popular at the time. I wish they would bring them back, they would sell like hot cakes again.
