Description
They were a little buggy-style wind-up toy, not much bigger than a Matchbox car. You would move them back and forth to wind them up. They had a cylindrical spring powered motor.

Man, how I remember this toy! I was in 6th or 7th grade when those joints came out. The commercial haunted me for a long time. You know the song... It ended something like, "...it clicks when it's wound, Darda Buggy, Darda Buggy, Darda Buggeee!" That was the only thing I wanted for Christmas. I honestly didn't care if it was the only present I got. I HAD to have a Darda track and a couple of them cool a** dune buggies! Y'all probably know the deal. I didn't get one. Back then, I think my mom hinted that they were too expensive. I told her I only wanted this one thing, but she ended up spending more $ on a bunch of stuff I really wasn't excited about. Go figure. There's more to this story. If the site gets more posts, I'll follow-up with the continuation. Peeese!

I had the darda toy cars when I was a kid and I loved the pull back cars. Recently I got my kid a Darda Car and I was so disappointed. They are made from plastic, fall apart whenever they hit a solid object (which pull back cars do often) and the engine sometimes works and sometimes gets stuck. Some have even reported complete pull engine failure on day 1. Check the photos in my Darda Cars article, and a complete review. I am so sad... they used to be the best pull back cars and I loved them as a kid.. now it's a plastic piece of crap :(
