Description
These were tiny little dolls (maybe 3 inches tall?)that were similar to Glamour Gals. There were at least 10 different dolls and a horse. There was also a city including furniture. The city could be configured in different ways by moving panels around.

My grandpa used to buy these dolls for me when I was a lttle girl, I had a big collection. Unfortunately I don't have any to pass down. But, the memories of those remind me of my grandpa who died 14 years ago.

Yes! Dazzle Dolls. I'm looking at one still mint in the box right here. The Dazzle doll I had first back in the 80's for Xmas was the gold lame' dressed blonde one. I got the horse named "Blaze" that same year. Years later one of Blaze's legs got broke and forever since I'd always thought of him and wanted a new one. The doll's clothes got lost over the years as well. Then one day I found mint in the box and mint on the card a golden blond dazzle doll in gold lame' and a Blaze horse on ebay. Paid a little of nothing for each of them.

I had Rhinestone, Blaze, and some other dolls and the city. It had a beauty shop, a disco, and two other areas...they were a lot of fun excepty their legs didn't bend, so they always fell out of chairs.

Ok, I'm totally flipping out right now. I totally forgot about these! I also had the Blaze horse, with the blonde doll. I had Blaze for years after the doll disappeared....I gave it to a friend's daughter and she didn't even have it a week before she broke its legs! I was pissed!

I had the city and a few dolls that were handed down from my cousins. The dolls ended up in Good Will donations, and I destroyed the city playset by re-enacting the car chase from "The Blues Brothers" in/on it with some Matchbox cars. That was more fun IMHO than playing with it as the manufacturer intended.

You can find these dolls at 1000barbies.com, under Galleries, page 14. If you make an offer to the dude, he'll sell them to you. Most are still in the box

I had tons of these as a kid and have been looking for them for years! I thought I was remembering Glamour Girls, but couldn't figure out why none of the Glamour Girls looked like the dolls I had. *does a happy dance*

Anyone knows where i can get these Dazzle dolls now? My gf used to have them but it got confiscated by a teacher at school when she was a kid. Her teacher never gave it back to her and it was still brand new. She talks about them all the time and when she does her e¥es just lights up. Anyway, I know it's probably gonna be difficult to find but I'm willing to look. So anyone, please let me know if you have any idea. Thanks..

i have 2 dazzle dolls (rhinestone & glissen) before when i was still a kid in year of 80's ... i lost it on 1994 when we moved out & live on new home, i left many collections of barbies & dazzle including many barbie wardrobes...my dad left the key of our previous house to my uncle, when i came back there my uncle cleaned the house & said he threw all garbage things (sad to say including all my dolls)... now i want to buy all the types of dolls i had, unfortunately i couldnt find any dazzle dolls here in philippines & japan anymore. could someone help me where to find it?... if you have any idea in singapore & thailand or any store within asia, i would gladly want to know!!! thanks!

i still have all my dazzle dolls, the dazzle city & blaze the horse. there was 8 dolls originally although i think i have seen a couple other dolls but i dont know if they was ever released or not. i have the complete set of my dolls & a second set still on the cards. they were mattel's version of kenner's glamour gals although i dont think they caught on cause they didnt have much to the line. they all looked pretty much the same & had the same silver painted on shoes & they didnt stand well in their bases, always had a lean to them because the one leg was bent. you can always tell dazzles apart from glamours because dazzles legs are unbendable. im posting some pics & also on the glamour page :)

I didn't remember Dazzle dolls until I saw one in a store many years ago. It was surprising to still see these around. I have since gotten all of the first year's dolls, and 2 of the 2nd year's dolls. Unfortunately all of the NRFB Dazzle dolls listed on the link Carrie provided have been sold. :( Dazzles were made between 1981 and 1982. 1st year dolls were dressed in gowns except Rhinestone, who wore black top with pink pants. The dolls were: Dazzle, Crystal, Diamond, Spangle, Rhinestone, Glossy, Glimmer & Glissen. 2nd year dolls were dressed in swimsuits with a bonus outfit (in the case of the 1st year dolls, their original 1st year outfit). New dolls were Shimmer, Starla, and 2 new boy dolls, Ace and Glint. They also had a house (1981) and a horse, Blaze, as well 3 fashion packs. The 2nd year dolls are hard to find and often sell for high prices on eBay. The boy dolls are rare and I have only seen them once or twice in all the years I've been looking on eBay. I have one of the boys, but don't know which one. Would love to find pictures of the 2nd year dolls complete so I can ID him.

My mom got me the dazzle doll before going to my dad for the summer as a child. My dad gave me an old cigar box and I kept her and her clothes in it, I carried that box of treasure with me all summer! So glad to find this, and take a trip down memory lane!

I just brought my old Dazzle city playset into the house for my son to play with a few minutes ago!!! I LOVED them!!!! My brother had the small GI Joe figures, so my girls always had a date....haha. I had forgotten about them until he made me follow him in the garage asking what the best toy from the "old days" was! OLD DAYS??? haha
