Description
All dolls had ponytails. If you raised her right hand to her ear, the ponytail would grow longer. You cranked her left arm to shorten the ponytail again. I had one sometime in the late 80s.

Oh! I remember these! I think we had miniature versions, unless they were all very small.. My sister insists she had the blonde one, but I only remember the red haired one and I think it was hers! Haha. I remember cos we played with her alongside Barbies.

I remember havign the blond one. I think I also hada few others. I am 25 years old and still have one even though her hair won't grow anymore.

My sister soo had the blond one of these but I would always steal it from her I loved making her hair grow and shrink back up when you touched her hand to the butterfly in her hair. I think I broke it pretty quickly it was constantly making her har grow and shrink back up. Man I wish my sister and I still had that doll!

didn't you have to crank the arm so it made this horrible gritty sound when you were making her hair short again?

I had the blond one with the pink butterfly in her hair. She wore blue overalls with pink fish nets I think. The sound her arm made was AWFUL!!

This doll brings back some silly memories! My cousin and I used to race and see who could wind the doll's arm the fastest to make the ponytail go back into the head! Then we would race to put the arm up to the butterfly and see which ponytail grew the fastest!! Great little doll!!

One of my earliest memories was throwing a tantrum on the floor of whatever megastore was around in 1987 because I wanted this doll! I did get it in the end, hehe.

I spotted this doll at a flea market and absolutely fell in love with them. I not only like the way her hair cranks up and down, I love the way she has an open mouth smile. I now own about 86 of these in every hair color and clothes. I even have 2 that are still in the original boxes.

I had one of these dolls, and her hair would get pink streaks in the sunlight and then fade away out of the sun. I thought she was the COOLEST!

OMG! I used to have one when I was little. I would spent hours making my doll's hair long and shorter. I thought it was the coolest thing. It was one of my favorite toys when I was a kid.

I have had a the dolly surprise. My mom work for playskool when I was younger and we had everything they ever invited. The only dolly surprise i didn't open is the one with the blonde hair. She sits in the box along side my other dolls on the shelf. MINT CONDITION LOOKS LIKE SHE JUST CAME OFF THE PRESS:)

Does anyone know what the butterfly in the 1987 dolls hair did? the one I have turns but doesn't seem to do anything else useful or other wise.
