Description
Kind of like an Etch-A-Sketch, but the Doodle Dome was shaped like a big globe.

I still have my old Doodle Dome from when I was 4 years old. Everything in it still works and I still play with it from time to time.

This was actually made in the early 90's by a company called Tyco.

You better keep that because I still have one when I was 12 years old and it was from my christmas. I looking for new one but realized that there are no more making new one and not understand why. I think maybe those Doodle Domes are rare and POSSIBLE VALUE?! What is the year do you have in bottom and I have 1991.

I still have this toy as well, it wasn't as much fun as the original magna-doodle.

My Doodle Dome is played with now by my youngest son, Dylan. He uses it and keeps it on his dresser of trophys! It is still working (can't say that about many of the other toy items that have gone through his hands!) We are aware of the value of this toy and will never forget when we received it. We have cherished it and still enjoy it from time to time. Thank you so much for this awsome gift.

The doodle dome didnt sell very well. It was made by someone I personally know in California, patented and sold to Tyco. It was really an excellewnt toy, but for some reason didnt take off the way they had hoped.

I had this as a kid, my mother gave this to me back in 91, it is by far my most favorite toy in my childhood it was given to me at the age of 6 yrs and was taken from me when I was 12 yrs old, my mom used to send our old toys to Guatemala, without realizing this was once my favorite toy, now Im 26 and my lil brother went there for vacation and has just told me he found it, he is bringing it back for me hell yeah cant wait

I am the original inventor of the DoodleDome. I am really glad that so many people remember and cherish their DoodleDomes. I never sold the invention to Tyco Toys. I licensed it to them for three years and kept the invention and trademark in my name. My name is on every DodleDome sold. Tyco Toys sold over 800,000 units around the world. I collected the royalties from those sales then retired. I still have a few left in the original packaging. I also have about 40 boxes of 12 per shipping box left. I know they are a collectors item. I don't know what they are worth. If you want one, make me an offer. doodledome@aol.com

Hi how are you! I would be interested to know more about your career as a designer. since I was a child I played with my cousin's dome doodle, it seems to me an excellent product, it is a work of art taken to a toy. my congratulations and I hope to have answers soon.

We have an original Doodle Dome. The knobs turn but nothing happens. We would like the next gen. to be able to play with it. Is there a tool for removing the screws from the base so we can try to fix it? The "screws" have a unique head and normal tools cannot loosen them. I have not found any repair info. online yet.
