Ooh, I had this! I think I might still have it at my parents' house. I loved it, but I think I remember that it kind of sucked.

It really was a piece of junk. It could only store something like a dozen full screen frames. However, you could play those frames in a user-defined sequence. Meaning, if you were clever enough, you could reuse your set of 12 frames in various orders to create longer animations. It came with a booklet containing several examples like a baseball batter missing 2 pitches and then hitting the 3rd. Of course you could also loop the sequence so you could play your 12 frames over-and-over again. It was junk. Whatelse can I add.

I was talking to me husband about this toy, everyone wanted it, I remember the commercial was a dancing skeleton break dancing. I loved this toy! I have no idea what happened to it though. Of course game boy is much better, but it was cool at the time.

I remember feeling mislead by the commercial. Keep in mind I was pretty young so everything was still "magical" to me. So I got the impression from the commercial that you could draw one thing and the toy would magically "animate" it for you. Heh, I didn't get that you had to draw each frame of animation. I got one for Christmas and it didn't work... then I got another one that didn't work either. Third time was the charm. Yeah it was kinda limited but I still remember playing with it occasionally. But I'm not a very good sketcher, so a lot of my own animations were very basic.
