This is exactly what I went on here looking for. I had a couple as a kid and still have a purple one. I really want more, though;)

I always see these on 80s toy sites, but I don't remember them at all. Must have been late 80s after I kind of stopped playing with toys and was more into music and books. They are pretty though. My daughter would probably love them as she loves My Little Ponies.

I did have one you could paint, but maybe it was a special one or something. They were fun, though!

I had the Lippizanner named Cloe and the Sixteen one called jazz I think. She was pink and wanted to be a rockstar. The one that is green and I thinknamed man I can't remember Niki? is worth more in Ebay. The green one is hard to get. I loved the Arabian in purple and white in the veil and leg silks

I had a gray one. I remember playing with it at my grandma's house. And Jamie is right; you don't paint them.

These popped into my head earlier and I'm so nostalgic now. I had Chloe - she was always my favourite, Niki the polo pony, and the Arabian one with the purple hair. Can't really remember what age I was when I had them; late '80's probably.

So to set the story straight you didn't paint them you gelled them. Some came with gel which you could wipe off, and others came with body paint. Also wiped off. They were special edition releases. They were awesome though.

If someone noticed my comment on the Fashion Fillies, it should go here, because they all had stars on their cheeks. (Oops) I had a few of them, but I got them all at tag sales =)
