I have been looking for a picture of Fatwheels for over 10 years. WOW, TY From what I remember the Jeep ran on 4 C batteries, and a 9 volt for the controller. Because of the inflatable tires the Jeep had a lot of drag, I remember the running time was about 40 min. before the batteries needed to be swapped out.

I have been looking for a picture, commercial, or even the opportunity to buy a Fatwheels model for over 10 years also. I never owned one. But I am a big fan of RC.

I remenber getting one one these for Xmas one year and it came with instructions on ordering extra tires in case of flats because they were rubber. We ordered extra but ended up returning the Fat Wheels car because I wasnt able to control it.(I was prob too young for it)

I remember getting one of these for Christmas and crying because it was the only thing I got. I feel really bad now because my parents were haveing financial problems at that time. I have appolizied to my parents several times about that day way back when. It quit working a few weeks after I got it. We gave it to some guy to fix and it was never returned to us.

I had one that I also got for christmass when I was a Kid. I remember my parents ordering extra wheels because they were always going flat. I think I buried it in my back yard with the rest of my matchbox cars when it broke, I should go and dig it up

I too got one for Christmas. My mother looked all over to get it, and finally found a display model that was tucked under a chelf. We had shag carpet at the time, so I couldn't play with it in my room. I decided to run it on my desk, and it flew off and the axle broke. I had it for less than a day, but always remember it with fondness.

OMG!! I loved this thing and HAD to have it for Christmas. I took it outside Christmas day, in the New Jersey cold, and the greese froze up and got all thick. It never worked again. I had it for a total of 4 hours!

As a kid I wanted one of these SO badly for Christmas, but it was the only thing I wanted that badly but never got. I've been looking for years for one, but with no success. After reading some of the horror stories it's no wonder; it was a piece of crap. That said, I'd buy one today in a heartbeat if I could.

WOW! I had one. I got it for Chirstmas or my birthday...anyway..it looks WAY different than I remembered. My dad set it up for me...I went downstairs and tried it out. In about 2 minutes I crashed it under the elevated foot of the piano. It was wedged under there and the force actually broke the wheel off. We glued it but it came right off again. I dont know if we returned it or not. It seemed cool for that first two minutes!! Again, wow, that looks SO different!

I remember the TV ad for the Fat Wheels with kids driving it through dirt and rocks. It looked like it went 40 MPH on TV. I wanted one so badly that I must have driven my poor mother crazy for months before Christmas. When Christmas came and I did get it, the front axle was broken right out of the box. Disappointing to say the least! We took it back to the store (Two Guys in Union, NJ)to exchange it but they were sold out. I was too impatient to wait for more Fat Wheels to come in so I wound up taking another, what turned out to be very lame P.O.S. RC truck instead. Funny, but after almost 30 years, if ever I take a trip down memory lane, I still think about that damn broken Fat Wheels and wish I had waited for another one to come into the store!
