It came in a black, plastic doctor's bag or a beige, plastic carrying case and it had all kinds of doctor's tools in it. There was a plastic syringe, a little red and yellow medicine bottle, an oscope to check ears with, a pretend blood pressure cuff, a pretend stethoscope, a band-aid box with two pretend band-aids, and there was also a pretend cast. Some versions of the kit came with an eye chart.

I had the beige carrying case. I used to like hitting people in the knee with my little hammer. LOL

I had the black case. When I was little and my family and I lived in Detroit, Michigan, I would go and play doctor over at my friend's house. That was a lot of fun!

i bought the beige one from a Toys'n Wheels store in the mall (back when malls still HAD toystores) with my birthday money one year. I think it was 20 something dollars. My dad used to sneakily bring the syringe with us camping and then would chase us kids around with it when he got bored while chanting "IT'S TIME TO OPERATE!!"...

GOOD LORD! I remember my dad had to buy me at least 2 or 3 of these cuz I kept losing the pieces. My favorite were the band-aids for some reason. I guess I got a kick out of snapping them on & off (they were shaped like bracelets) everyone's wrists & ankles. I lost those the most. One of my favorite toys!

I had the beige hard case too. And I liked having someone put the stethescope in their ears & then scream into it. Nice kid, huh?

I came home to visit my parents with my 4 year old daughter. My Mother brought out some of my old toys. It's funny to see my daughter playing with one of my favorite childhood toys. Amazingly enough it is still in wonderful condition.

Aww I had this kit when I was little! Now that I think about it, my mom probably bought it for me because she was (still is, of course) a nurse :).

Y'know, mine never had a case. Maybe my mom got it 2nd hand. But I loved giving someone a pretend shot in the arm and playing with the stethoscope.

I loooved this toy, especially the blood pressure cuff with the dial that would spin when you pumped the bulb. This toy may well be the reason that I went into medicine as an adult!

Man. Used to love this thing. Wanted to be a doctor when I had this. I remember losing some of the parts and getting a new one. I also remember putting the stethescope on my brother and yelling into it LOL

This is another one of those Fisher Price toys that I think almost every child had growing up. I never had any interest in being a doctor but it was always fun to play.

I loved my doctors kit when I was a kid. I had leukemia when I was 4 years old and playing with my medical kit helped me to not be scared of the doctors and all the shots. I am now 29 years old and today I passed my medical kit on to my 2 year old son and he loves it too!

I had this kit but over time, a lot of the bits got lost. The syringe had sponge in that perished and I don't remember the blood pressure thing at all.

I had the one in the black bag. I loved the cast and the blood pressure cuff the best! I recently bought my son a medical kit because of how much fun I had with this one, but the new ones suck, just like most toys these days. Already got broken pieces.

OMG!! I played with this all the time @ my Great Grandmas house. She had a bum knee and I remember "fixing" her up. She used to let me give her shots and snap the band aid on her. I remember her calling my house one time because she couldn't find the Absorbine Jr. It was in my DR. Kit of course.

I remember getting this when we moved. I was 5 I think. It was the tanish hard case. I still have it. I think most of the pieces are there, but the foam on the stethescope has rotted off (got sticky...ick)

I had this!! Actually I got it for my 2nd birthday in February 1980. I loved it and over the next few years I played with it all the time, taking my dolls' temperature with it and things like that. :)
