Description
Cassette tapes (did not play music) that had mini game boards inside that flipped out, the pieces were hidden inside. You'd flick a little bar on the "tape" and it would spin the "reels" which had symbols relating to movement and other game-specific rules.

I used to love these things. I still have mine, somewhere. You'd flick a little bar on the "tape" and it would spin the "reels" which had symbols relating to movement and other game-specific rules.

I have a Flipsiders game. It's the "Slumber Party" one. I've had it for years. My father bought it for me when I was a little girl. However, ever since then, I have absolutely NO idea how to play it!!! Can someone please explain the directions to me. It would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

WOW, I have been looking all over the net for these things. I couldn't remember the name. I had one, I think it was the racing one. I'd love to have some of those again.

I was purging a lot of my old high school and college belongings yesterday, but I could not bear to part with my Flipsiders. I only have three (Dragon Master, Scavenger's Gold and Chopper Chase) but I remember them being a lot of fun, and they're still really good as travel games. MB should start this series up again.

I got the Mall Madness one for Christmas in 1987. I remember we could bring one toy to church for Christmas service, so I brought my flipsider, and during a quiet prayer moment I accidentally released the spinner mechanism. So loud! Well it got lost over the years, but in the past 5 years or so I've been able to find all 12 of the original ones on ebay. I'm proud of my little collection =) there were 6 released in 1992 but those are even harder to find.

We have the Checkered Flag Flipsiders cassette game. Has anyone heard of it?

Loved these games, found great websites that have great pictures. This is one of them. Thanks for helping me with the name. When I was a child I called them Sliders, thinking they slid out on the side, but Flipsiders makes more sense.

My son found Chopper Chase in perfect condition with all the magnets. If he wanted to, how would he go about selling this to someone that would appreciate it?
