I love Garbage Pail Kids. I have every series except the 1st and the last, before they were banned. GPK cards are back and better then ever. They now have new types of cards like scratch-and-sniff and magnets. But it can cost a lot of money to collect them all. It was nice being a kid where your parents would foot the bill.

I found about 200 to 250 of these yesterday and am going to get rid of them, probably just in a garage sale this weekend. They are either Series 1 or Series 2. They say 1986 on the back of many of them. They could be multiple Series (1 and 2...and maybe even 3). I have no clue. If somebody wants to buy them off of me, we can work something out... joe_b_b (at) hotmail.com One way or another, I am getting rid of them by this weekend.

I loved these and have the complete 1st edition. They are in good condition since I had a rubber band around them. My husband found an unopened box of 10th edition at an auction all in original wrappers.

I can still remember riding my bike down to the store about 8 blocks away (when it was safe to go that far at a young age) and buying as many packages as possible with the little bit of money I had. I freaking loved them! *wishes I still had them*

I LOVED these and still do. They were the ultimate insult to the sick obsession with the cabbage patch kids. I still remember the very first pack I ever got. Series 3 Horsey Henry, Stuck Chuck, Still Jill, Frank in stein, something with a booger in his nose. lol

Remember how cool it was when you'd find one with your name? I was always excited when a "Smelly Kelly" card turned up. LOL

I loved these cards! Does anyone remember how on the back there was part of a picture and you had to get other cards to match the back to create a large picture? Just crazy fun.
jodi - October 20, 2007 - Report this comment
Yeah I remember the puzzle. There were also Michael Jackson cards/stickers that were the same way!

Didn't these packs come with gum. I swore it was a square of gum when it was opened...
Patrick - November 17, 2007 - Report this comment
I'm pretty sure they came with a stick of gum...just like baseball cards. I loved the gum, even though it only lasted a few minutes before it lost all its flavor and became difficult to chew.

I remember trading GPK cards with one of my friends back when the Series 3 cards were being produced. He said that he had some Series 1 cards...which I had never seen before. Well, I couldn't believe that he actually peeled the stickers off their backs and put them in a sticker book! I was so disappointed!

My mom hated these. I had to sneak them into the house, when she found them, she'd toss them.
