I still have a bunch of these and have since passed them on to my 9 year old son who is now collecting the old ones along with the new series that have been released in the past few years. Awesome!

LOVED them! Even got in trouble for having them on my notebooks, because my parents and teachers were actually offended by some of them! AWESOME!!!

These stickers make me think back to hanging out at my cousin's house, she had 'em all over her wall. And on a couple occasions they were our muses when we made prank phone calls. We would call random people and say "Hi there, is Large Marge there?" or "Yes, hello. I'm calling to speak with HALEY'S VOMIT.." I know, I know, incredibly moronic, but that used to send me into total hysterics back in 86 /87. Endlessly amusing. Needless to say, my razor sharp wit was a smidge underdeveloped at that point in my life..

the stickers were awesome. Found them amusing for a long time.

Wow! The stickers were fantastic. What were we thinking?
Mel - December 18, 2008 - Report this comment
These were great...if you didn't take them too seriously (like some adults). My dad would buy them for me. My mom didn't like some of them so she took them away. :-(
court - January 17, 2009 - Report this comment
hahaha. i found like, a hundred of these in my mom's basement. she always used to say, "they'll be worth money someday..." i looked it up recently... not really worth money.
dan - January 27, 2009 - Report this comment
God I wish I still had mine. Miranda is right, the best part was that they made adults give disgusted looks when they saw them. Whoever made Garbage Pail Kids is a flippin genius.
ACJ - February 08, 2009 - Report this comment
So many kids at school had these, but my mom wouldn't let me have any. She said they were "Nasty".
Christy - March 03, 2009 - Report this comment
I still have mine-I was looking up if they were worth anything thats how I found this site!!! How cool. We used to wash cars pick leaves whatever to get money for these.

I still have all of my Garbage Pail Kid stickers. I had MANY. I collected them by series. I would beg and pray to get taken up to the Party (liquor)store so I could buy packs of them that were sold on the counter. I think they were like 25 or 50 cents a pack. You got a piece of gum and like 5 cards or something. We used to trade our doubles away. I was in 4th grade...and this was the coolest thing then.
JON C - May 05, 2009 - Report this comment
they all are still on my old bedroom door at my parents house.....

I used to have a ton of these things, I wish I would have kept them! I had to sneak them though because my mom said they were appropriate... they were gross & absolutely hillarious!
Haley - June 03, 2009 - Report this comment
I collected these when I was a kid and I remember my mom got me a pack when I had the chicken pox, and when I opened it up there was a card called Haley's Vomit!! I thought she had it made especially for me. I still have it!

I remember a kid about my age mayb a little older,(I was 7 at the time. 1985) coming up to me on a bike and pulled out the fattest deck of gpk's and was all " hey kid wanna buy some of these " I spent all my allowance, 2.00 on some. The cards were like crack for kids, I was an addict.
T - November 10, 2009 - Report this comment
I used to have to get my grandfather to buy me these, because my parents wouldn't give me money for random crap. (We were really poor.) Everyone else I knew had hundreds of these, but I only got to get a few packs. :(
Krystal - November 13, 2009 - Report this comment
You have the Happy Bunny now trying to take the place of the GPK sickers...not even close...loved em but never had too many of them.

Yeah, my cousin and I have an equivelent team of BFF/ Cousin Boys which were our brothers and they collected those and they lived with us but we rarely interacted considering we had differant activities during the day. One time they picked the lock to our treehouse club and put the stickers on our wall and took our pictures down. Boys!! But we got them off and put our pictures up again. I remember one was the Golden Gate Bridge and another was one that said Best Friends and another that we made with an orange and a purple poster board and we wrote Jaida and J.K. on them and our birthdays ond on the bottom was the year. I still live in the hose beside it and she lives beside of it and she has a son and a husband, while I'm alone. Well, I have memories at least :).

I think the artwork was truly great and the jokes on the back were gut busters!

I remember getting these Trick-or-Treating. I wish I'd kept my originals, but I did manage to score some complete series years later. If I'm not mistaken, they still make new versions.

These are back. I've seen a retro flashback edition in Target...they're where the baseball cards are.
Dave - May 07, 2010 - Report this comment
They have released about 6 or 7 new series since 2008 I think. I was collecting them, but they have so many extras and special cards. It's not fun like it was when I was a kid.
JessicaRaven - May 16, 2010 - Report this comment
in my school, the crown jewel in your GBK collection was to have one with your name, you'd put it right in the center of the cover of your Trapper Keeper, if you had ones that had the names of your friends, that was a bonus
Roy - June 07, 2010 - Report this comment
Loved the cards. Like most other people on here. I stuck them on the back of my bedroom door. Remember the film they made?
Nowak - June 29, 2010 - Report this comment
My wife loves GPK so much that I just bought her a whole box of the new flashbacks, that they have been selling at Target, for her birthday this year. I can't wait to see those stickers up on the back of our bedroom door along with her wedding dress. LOL.

I have a lot of these that my brother had and when he passed away i had received them, I would really like to know how much they are worth today. I plan on passing them over to my grandson but would like to know if he should collect or sell them and put into a savings account for him. anyone with info on them please email me at tkj0116@ yahoo.com thanks

I loved these back in the day and continue to.I remember when visiting my great grandmother riding my bike down to the arcade and they had a display case with GPKs for sale and I would stock up. Alas I only have a few that I (damn) peeled off and stuck in a book.I just recently purchased some off ebay (1st series...they were the best IMO)...let me tell ya a bit pricey for childhood memories. You might think its stupid but paid 20 bucks for 8 cards. Not trying to collect the entire series just wanted some that I remembered fondly. To the poster tkj0116 I would keep the cards and put them in some nice holders to protect and pass them on.They are something your brother owned and enjoyed...that is worth more then a couple of hundred bucks (1st series complete).

My sister used to collect these, but I used to find the pictures a bit disturbing. There was this one that used to give me nightmares as a child, it had one of the kids tied to the roof of a car, like a deer, riddled with bullet holes and not looking pretty. You can see why parents hated these things. Funny to see again as an adult!

My friend and I LOVED Garbage Pail Kids. I can remember in '86 or '87, my friend and I went to the drug store and I was able to buy a whole case of the newest set of Garbage Pale Kids - I remember the box was yellow - and we went back to his house and sat on the floor opening all the individual packages of Garbage Pail Kids and setting aside the pieces of pink bubblegum to chew later, and we were laughing at all the new hilarious cards. I remember the Tears for Fears song "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" came on TV while we were sitting there looking at all the new cards, and we got into a deep discussion of "Would you really want to rule the world?" and we both agreed that we would not.

My fiance and I collect the new reproductions today, they are almost exactly the same, and on the back of the stickers it has the original sticker, comparing it to today. We almost have 3 complete series in a big binder! They have magnets out now, too and some nasty green gum. Fabulous.
