Description

They were little immobile pieces of rubber that looked like monsters, but were supposed to be germs. Each one came with a test-tube and a description of a fake disease that the germ caused. They were made in 1988.

Those were really cool toys. I still remember seeing those in the late 80s with so many other toys at Lionel Playworld. That store was so much better than Toys R Us, with older toys and a better selection. What I wouldn't give to go back to that store of old...

Wahahahahahah! These were cool! I had the dark blue one with a puckered mouth and eyes on stalks. I would fill the test tube with water mixed with red food coloring and scare my little bro that I was gonna throw the germ on him. He caught on pretty fast though. hehe

The blue one you mentioned with the puckered mouth was the Bellybutton Lint Germ.

These were awesome, I just found one looking through old stuff at my parents. Makes me miss those days, especially during this time of year (around Christmas & everything).

Dad bought me a few of them for my birthday one year. I tried to eat them and they tasted rather awful.

I've been trying to figure these out for years. The only one I had ever seen was one my cousin had gotten when I was little and everyone I ever ask has no clue what I'm talking about. I've been trying to find where I can still buy them and this site is the only mention I've ever seen of them!

My parents used to buy these for my little brother, he was in and out of the hospital when he was a toddler. I remember one was called "Hacka Hacka Sillyacka" for a cold virus. My brother cherished these little toys...
