Description

These Ghostbusters are the reason why the Ghostbusters we are all familiar with (Pete, Ray, Egon, and Winston) became the Real Ghostbusters. They were a team of three, Jake was the handsome leader of the group, Eddie was the doofy sidekick, and Tracey was the Ape that busted ghosts with Jake and Eddie. Their main enemy was named Prime Evil. There weapon of choice was called the "dematerializer", but only worked on ghosts, not zombies or monsters.

Right - I commented on the other Ghostbusters listing how much I loved the "Real Ghostbusters" - but simply could NOT stand this Ghostbuster trio with the ape and Prime Evil. There is no Prime Evil, only Zuul.

Didn't have any of the toys and I don't think my brother, who's four years older than me, did neither. But I loved the movie and the cartoon!

Finally someone remembers this! I had PM kindergarten and every morning I would sit and watch this show and Danger Mouse.

i watched this cartoon the same time the Motion Picture came out. I have Jake, Jessica, Futura, Prime Evil, The purple ghost lady, The wolfman, the blue and green thing with the big ears and long nose that hovered, and the yellow skeleton/robot.

just remembered having the pack with the yellow foam thing sticking out of it. Then there was the containment thing too.

I remember sitting at the kitchen table playing with my ghostbuster-mobile and brother pushed it off the edge, breaking it. I'm 26 now, and I will NEVER forgive him for that :)

I had a Ghostbuster gun that when you turned it on, ghosts lit up on the wall! I cannot for the life of me find it again, or even any pics!

I had sooo much TRGB stuff it was insane. We had the firehouse, ecto-1 and 2 (the helicopter), all of the original characters, a bunch of the ghosts, some crazy freak out ghostbusters, the proton pack, trap, the ghost projector, a ton of ecto plazzam (which had the greatest small in the world) and the containment unit. I just remember as my bother and I got older we spray painted ecto-1 black to make it look more like a hearse and we would send old broken action figures to rest with a final ride in it.

Man this was my favorite show as a kid. I'd play with these toys all day long. I had the "fright" ghostbusters. You could push their arms down and their eyes would pop out of their heads or something.
