OMG! I remember crying when I received this for x-mas from an aunt - I was horrified. However, it did end up being a favorite toy of mine. Guess there's just something about cranking a goat's tail to make it eat plastic garbage!

I had this toy when I was little and I remember sticking my finger in his mouth and getting pinched. I always wondered why the food didn't come out of his bum instead of his side...

Wow, I also had this toy in about 1978. It was my favorite toy as well. I can still remember it from when I was like 3-4 years old. It's one of the only toys I really remember. I remember the red pieces of plastic it would eat.

This was a GREAT toy that would eat not only the garbage it came with but any small item. I had it for years. I also had the cousin of this toy, Milky, the Marvelous Milking Goat. Look it up. It will bring back memories.

I remember this toy and loved him. dispite that our live goats did not eat garbage like he did. i guess having real goats made me realize at an early age the mis conceptions city folks had about farm animals. wonder what happened to the toy i had? probably went the way of my first unbendable barbie dolls.

I got this when I was seven years old, the Christmas just before my Grama passed. I cherished this toy for years then lost it in a move, what a tragedy for me. Now that I see it here I am dying to get my hands on one, does anyone know where I can buy one of these? Memories, I tell ya!!

Tami -- Kenner made Milky the Marvelous Milking Cow, so I assume they also made the much rarer Gobbles.

I was so glad to find this site, as I have Gobbles and could never remember what his name was! I also have Milky, these were my two favorite toys next to the Snoopy bowling, the penguin that laid an egg, and the Evel Kinevel motorcycle!

I have an original Goobles the Goat and for the right price I may be able to convince my daughter to part with it. Our "baby" daughter is now 40 and this was one of her last toys. She and her older sister that we lost in an auto accident over 26 yrs ago at the age of 16 yr and 18 days played with Goobles a lot and we all enjoyed watching a plastic goat eat plastic garbage.
