I second exactly what you wrote Sean. However, there is nothing else online about them. I'm wondering if they were actually called Gorguts or not. If so, they must be the rarest toys out there. After finding this article today and seeing they were called Gorguts, I remembered that I'd tried to do this same search a couple years ago for something like "1980s toys that ate gremlins" and this page is all that I found then also. And then each time with the "Gorguts" lead all I could find was a band called Gorguts. I wonder who made the toy line. I'll e-mail the webmaster to see if he knows.

Sh**! I remember these things! I wanted some for Christmas one year really bad but my dad said that they were junk and I never got any. I thought that they seemed so cool though. I remember looking at them in the store; there was the rock one, and I think a plantlike one... the 'gremlin' figures were small and all one color. Yeah.

holy cow i just googled 80 rock monster and i found this board. what i wouldn't give to just see a pic of these things again to relive the memories. definitely one of my favorite toys ever!
