Description
Grubby was Teddy Ruxpin's best friend. He too had a pop-in tape on his back . His mouth would also move when tape was running. Plus, there was a wire to connect Teddy Ruxpin and Grubby so that they could have a conversation with one another.

I had Teddy and Grubby, I remember getting Teddy for Christmas when I was 4 and Grubby for my birthday. Grubby did not have a tape deck on board. He used the beige cord to connect to Teddy and would move his mouth for his lines in the story Teddy would tell. He was a yellowy-orange octapede with blue eyes.

Dauphin, very true about Grubby. He would only talk when it was a story that included him and only when it was his turn to talk. I still have Teddy, and I think Grubby too.

Grubby was my FAV. My mom used to take me every weekend to the video store and I would rent the teddy ruxpin adventure videos.

OMG! I totally had a Grubby and a Teddy and if you hooked them up together, they would tell the taped story together! It was sooo awesome! My parents definately got their money's worth out of these two! I had a funeral for Grubby because rechargeable battery acid leaked inside of him; i was devastated!! :(

Just found a pristine Grubby that works at a Value Village here in Seattle for $1.00. Yes, $1.00.

The puppet pictured is not Grubby. It's an Anything. They could be turned inside out to change form. I had the one pictured. When turned inside out it became a mushroom. It's Still part of the Teddy Ruxpin line, but it's definately not Grubby.
