Description
I had a few of these Hello Kitty terry cloth stuffed animals that could go in the bath with me and would change color. I'm fairly certain they were Hello Kitty, but I can't exactly recall where they came from. Possibly Avon. I would love to have one of these, so if anybody knows--let me know! moonbeam43302@yahoo.com

One of the first toys I had was a My Melody Hello Colour toy. My mom used to throw her in the dryer to active the colour change in her. I still have her and the colour change fur still works. She changes from purple when cold to pink when warm.

The hello color was the one that changed colors. Was out in about 1984. My oldest daughter was the little girl holding up the kitty. She model it in Japan.

I have the kitty and another one too but I'm not so sure what it is. I'm guessing that its some type of Japanese monster. I remember putting them in the dryer to dry and when they came out they were still the other colors.

I had one of these as a kid. I LOVE IT!!! Not sure what my mom did with it. I did look this toy up and found a website in Japan for them. They don't make them anymore,so you have to look around for one.

On the advert it showed the doll being used in the bath then being dry quickly enough for bedtime too. My mum didn't believe that and wouldn't buy me one! Years later I had a friend who had had one as a child and said she did use it for both bathtime and bedtime! Grrrr!

I had my melody and tuxedo sam when I was 8 yrs old. 25 laters, I found them again on ebay and then I found hello kitty and yuk-a-muk and yuk-a-puk. I used to love these and now I can't believe I found them. E-bay is a good place to look. You should try it.

I had this when I was little, I loved it! My mom said she thinks she bought it at Zellers and it came in a box. I still have it, I wonder if it would still change color?!

My brother had a penguin looking one and I had a horse/dragon looking one. The penguin went from purple to pink and was flat shaped. The dragon was green and pink I think and turned to orange with hot water. I wish I saved this toy but I think it got mildewy or something. They had a cool smell to them though I remember, not to mention awesome for baths.

I still have my tuxedo sam. I would refuse to stop playing with him after bath time & my mom would have to dry him off the best she could & then wrap him in a towl for bed time.

I liked Hello Kitty as a child but wasn't as big a fan as I am now. I actually had this as a kid and forgot about it until I was going through the toys in my loft. It was distributed by Matchbox Toys.
