Description
They were stuffed toys that closely resembled trolls. They stood about 10 inches high and came in various skin and hair colors. Each one had a name, which I believe always began with "Cousin".

"Make friends with the Hobnobbins, the happiest trolls you'll meet! And they don't even care if you fool with their hair and ask them to show you their feet! Show us your feet! Some Hobnobbins have some pink, some yellow, and some blue..." That's all I can remember from the commercial...

I had Uncle Adventure. He was one of my best little buddies. I always thought that maybe he was like, the crazy uncle that everybody in the family hates having to see at thanksgiving because he runs around wearing a shirt with a giant 'A' on it and a cape. Yeah, he was crazy. LOL

I have a full set of all 24 Hobnobbins, still in the box! I bought them all in the 80's after my boyfriend bought me one for a gift. I don't know why... does anybody know if they are worth anything or where I could find a buyer or collector? I've never seen the entire set, I've only seen one at a time, out of the box, on e-bay. I'd love to sell them now, they've been packed away for 20 years.

I had a "cheerleader" hobnobbin...and when my friend broke her leg in 6th grade, I bought her grandma hobnobbin as a gift and she loved it!!! I still have mine at my parents' house!

I remember thinking these things had one of the longest commercials I'd ever seen. The commercial named every. single. character. Along with character traits and whatnot ( Grandpa Fuzzy he's old but he's wise ). And there were a LOT of characters. Plus the whole thing about different foot colors indicating how they were related. Why I remember this at all is beyond me as I had zero interest in these things. At the time the only toys I cared about were dogs nad ninja turtles.

My daughter received a Hobnobbin liquid bath soap bottle of the blue skinned rainbow hair hobnobbin. She carried that thing around by the hair everywhere she went. she named it "Sweetie" for no reason I know of. The saddest day was when she dropped it on a rock pathway and it got a hole in the bottom. All the soap leaked out....she was so sad. We took her home and put a bandaid on the hole, filled it with sand and she was good as new. I know it is in a box somewhere.
