Description
Dolls that were made to look like a pilgrim girl. Very popular during the early part of the 80's! Bed sets and sleeping bags soon followed suit.

I had this! :) They still make Holly Hobbie stuff and sell it in card shops. Anyway, I called her Hobby Hobby because I was so young. I told my mother that I was a "lady and a hobby hobby".

I had the 'Heather' doll, of course, with brown hair and a green outfit. I loved her! We climbed trees together, wandered through the woods, had adventures, everything. She's a little worn these days, but safely in storage at my parent's until I have a daughter of my own. Then it's adventure time again! The new line they've come out with is NOTHING like the old beautiful Holly Hobby. She's overdressed and too 'preppy'. The real Holly Hobby was a simple country girl in faded gingham with an honest face. Not some tarted-up pseudo-Barbie.

I loved holly hobby. I dont know if I loved her because of little house on the prairie or i loved little house on the prairie because of holly hobbie. I also believe she is the reason that blue is still my favorite color to this day. :)

I had the Holly Hobbie doll whose outfit folded down into a nightgown and her hat turned inside out to make a nightcap, and then there was this fabric strip attached to her hairbow or something, and when you pulled it, her eyes would close. Do you guys remember that one?

I have my Holly Hobbie still, she has a pink dress that has an inscription printed on it about friendship. I remember she came with 2-3 cardboard "plates" of food & I think a cardboard cup. I also have a much older pillow that came from my mom's childhood with Holly Hobbie standing facing away in the distance on a fence.

I remember wanting the one that closed her eyes, and still have the 10" cloth doll, and, my mom made me a Holly Hobbie outfit and Holly Hobby cake for my birthday when I was, like, 4...

The Holly Hobby of today is way cuter than the Holly hobby from the 80s. It just is. I mean come on just compare. Check out the newer Holly Hobby and then go back to this one.

Hi, my daughter is about to turn 5 and just loves Holly Hobbie. She wants to have a Holly Hobbie birthday party and I can't seem to find any paper products. Any ideas?

I had the Holly Hobby oven when I was a kid. It functioned like the Easy bake but looked like an old fashioned country oven. My brother says I baked one of his gold fish in it, but I don't remember this.

I had a Hollie Hobby kitchen set and Hollie hobby wallpaper in my room. I really didn't even get who she was, I think my mom liked her more than I did. But man, I had fun making some pretend margaritas in that kitchen, then drawing Crayola mustaches on that chick's wallpapered face!

I had a pink Holly Hobby sleeping bag and even used it for years after I got married. I stayed with some friends when my husband was out of town and of course took my pink sleeping bag. It was misplaced and I never got it back. I have 2 little girls now and would love to find one for them. please....does anyone know where I can get one?

I had the 2-3" mini doll, w/ removable apron, and to my surprise I found one on ebay last month. Yes, I bought it. It was a special gift from my grandma, when I was in the hospital as a kid w/ asthma.

My daughter is turning 5 and wants a H.H. b-day also..good luck finding anything! Today's Holly is supposed to be our old Holly's great-granddaughter...so that's why she is more modern and the story ties in together..she's not "tarted up"..that would be those horrible Bratz(slutz) dolls of today. Today's Holly teaches all of the same values and morals the old one did!! I'm glad my mom kept all of my old Holly stuff my kid's playing with it now and we're also using my old Holly baking pan for her B-day.

Does anyone remember some paperdoll sets that came in a cardboard box that were called Gingham Girls or something like that? I remember having these and loved them so much. I do not think they were related to Holly Hobby. If anyone has info, e-mail me! c.lamb89@yahoo.com

I ADORED Holly Hobbie as a kid and still do!!...not so much the new ones though..something not quite right about them. Don't know why they always feel the need to mess with a good thing. I used to have a Holly Hobbie dollhouse at my grandmother's when I was little...it's since disappeared and I'm having a terrible time trying to replace the bloody thing. It was a 3 dimensional house made out of heavy cardboard and had the rooms and things printed on. The roof was green plastic and it had an upstairs bedroom and a kitchen and living room downstairs. Anyone else have one of these? Or have any ideas where I could find another one?
