These dolls were great! I loved the velvety feel of the plush doll skin. I found the Hugga Bunch TV special on youtube a while ago. Scarier now than when I was kid.

Momma bought my sister and I these dolls when we were little. I was given Huggins and my sister received Bubbles. To this day, they remain one of my favorites...

Does anyone remember the Hugga Bunch made for tv movie in ~1985-1986. These dolls were so cute til I saw them moving by themselves on TV! That movie really ruined a great thing :D

I loved these! I had the pink and purple ones. I LOVED the tv movie, but there was a video I got that was sooo cheesy, just still pictures. But at one point Huggins asked "Need a hug, Jitterbug?' My mom would say that to me to tease me if I was upset and I hated it! Then she told my husband about it and now HE does it too!

OMG!!! I remember these like it was yesterday I had like 3 of them 1 with purple hair 1 with blonde and 1 with pink hair. I was determined to collect them all. My dad use to use them as pillows. What's funny is one of the head's came off (i believe it was the blonde haired one) I was just gonna get rid of it. I dont know where the body ended up but my best friend ended up keeping the head, She used to suck her thumb and she'd have the head in the other hand. She carried that thing around like it was a football.

Weren't these the things that lived in a land beyond the dryer? That movie creeped me out and I had one of these dolls and had nightmares about it taking me to its world through our dryer. I think that's why I hate to do laundry now. :/

I remember my mom got me Huggins for Christmas one year and I took that thing everywhere with me. My sister and I shared a room and I somehow left it in the floor. She stepped on it causing the plastic piece that connects the head to the body to snap! I cried so hard because I thought she did it on purpose but she really didn't mean to. Oh the memories!

I think I had Huggins and Tickles. I remember liking their sparkley outfits! They also had some sweet hair styles.

My sister and I used to watch the movie all the time when we were kids, and I remember it totally blowing our minds when we found one of the dolls at a friend's house. My sister recently admitted that she spent the better part of a decade plotting to steal that doll but never came up with a decent plan!

I have a vinyl Patooty and her baby that I am willing to sell. They are not new in box, but have been used as colletor item and not played with. Hair is still in sweet curl on top of head, clothes and both dolls in mint condition. Hugging action still works when you turn Patooty's head. Thekings7@yahoo.com for pictures or more information

One of my earliest memories is my mother getting so upset she busted the head off my huggabunch doll. According to her it was a hot summer day. She has just cleaned up all my toys and layed down to take a nap. I woke up before her and pulled them all back out. When she woke up I was playing with all my toys and the combination of her being hot, tired, having to pee and being on her menstrual cycle did my poor doll in (I can’t remember if it was ‘Huggins’ or ‘Precious Hugs’ though I do remember it was pink.) I was bought a makeup gift of the yellow one named ‘Patooty’.

I still have my Huggins and Hug-A-Bye doll. My mother had to glue the head back on because my brother accidently jumped on it and broke the head off. Boy was I ever upset.
