Description
Jem and the Holigrams and rival band of the Misfits (Pizzaz, Roxy, and Storm) and then you had "extra's" like Rio (Jem's alterego--when she wasn't a rock star boy friend) and Dance--a dancer. Each doll came with a tape with songs from the band they were either in or friends with and each song was shown in a show that featured that character. Like Rio of course had Jem and the Holigram's songs. Each doll had jointed legs and moveable hands.Jem's earring's flashed. This goes with the cartoon when Jem's alterego would call on "Synergy", a holigraphic super high tech computer made by Jem's dad that would transform Jem's alterego into the pink punk rocker known as Jem. Each doll also came with an accessory, like an instrument, and they all had neon colored hair.

I have a few of the movies and my roomate has one of the Misfits;)
I have all the dolls and all the incarnations of Jem. I watched that cartoon all the time and knew all the songs! I would record myself w/the instrumental sides of the tapes.
I still have the tape that came with her, but jem is long gone :(
I have nothing anymore..you guys are lucky. I have been searching every where and cant find nothing.anyone got any ideas?
I still have all my Jem/Misfits dolls, and I only just got rid of the tapes that went with them, though I am suddenly consumed with remorse that I threw them out!! But at least I have all the dolls, and by some miracle, Jem's earrings still light up after 20 years!! Truly outrageous!
All of the episodes are on youtube and I used to have a few Jem commercials on an old cartoon tape. I never had the dolls though. I could probably get them at yard sales though. The episodes are pretty good that I've seen on youtube.
You can get all the Holograms~Jem, Kimber, Aja, Shana, Raya and the Misfits~Pizzazz, Roxy, Stormer, Jetta and all the other characters on Ebay! They usually auction for about $10-$20 clothed, or $50 in the box. You can get them cheaper in nude lots sometimes but then you have to find/buy all their clothes separate! I loved the part of the theme song where Jem sings "Jem is my name, no one else is the same!" then the Misfits interrupt and sing "We are the Misfits! Our songs are better!"
If anyone has any of the Jem dolls I would love to buy them. This was my favorite cartoon when I was a kid.
My sister and I had a Jem and the Holograms board game. It was awesome!!

I have my Jem Dolls (except for Rio..ooh now I have the Duran Duran song in my head). And my dolls' earrings still light up after all these years, too! I had the regular Jem as well as a Jem with gold in her hair. I got her when my first baby brother was born (it was a bribe gift, lol). I had/have Stormer, Roxy, Rio, and Aja, too. I always wanted Kimber. The songs they sang were crazy. The gal who sang for Jem was/is in an indie band called Luna supposedly.
I miss mine. I had all the orignal dolls except rio.
My friend had Jem and the Holograms and I had Barbie and the Rockers... They would have jam sessions haha I never liked Jem.. Her feet were so big

i had the jem dolls... loved the earrings and pink hair, and i liked how their feet were big. there were two groups in our class at school... barbie and the rocker fans (stupid), and jem fans (not stupid).
i still have the cassette with the "something is missing" theme I also have thedolls but there are in bad shape lol naked and with no arms..geez anyway atleast i still got something..and i cant believe i still remember those songs lyrics and pitches :)

I only had Pizzazz from the Misfits. My sisters had all of the other dolls. My aunt just convinced my daughter to throw them all away along with the New Kids on The Block dolls and MC Hammer dolls. I was majorly teed off. She even threw away my old flat chested Hawiian Skipper doll.
It's funny - when I was young and watching that cartoon, I was so totally a Jem and the Holograms supporter and thought that the Misfits were just jealous and spiteful. But, as an adult, I look back on the series and really, really wish the Misfits had been successful in destroying Jem's career (I think it's because I came to loathe Jem/Jerrica - understanding that Jerrica was an idiot for not dumping Rio's two timing ass. The fact that Jem and Jerrica are the same person doesn't matter - seeing as Rio honestly believes they're two separate individuals; making him a two timer and Jerrica a desparate twit by staying with him). XD
Hopes(When I was 6) in getting one...At my seventh birthday I saw a present the shape of Jem....was a accordian.
I loved JEM! The tape that it came with i played it until it broke. I miss my Jem doll and the tape
I remember my sister had one of the jem dolls. Can't remember which one it was. I had a Transformers Grimlock figure. We played together one day Transformers vs Jem and my Grimlock figure bit her head off. My dad replaced it with a barbie..
My little sister pulled the head off my Jem doll in jealousy the Christmas I was given it!! My nanny bought me a new one and i gave the head to my sister.
I just recieved my purchace of all three seasons of Jem. Back in the day my cousin, sister, and I fought over who was Jem everytime the show came on. LOL! But Jenny, like yourself I too realized I'm def a Misfit. During this deployment, on my off time I am so engrossed in my 11 discs of Jem!

I love Jem and the Holograms!!! I still have my dolls the ones i have are: Jem, Rio, Stormer, Pizzazz, Kimber, Shana. All I need is the rest of them if any of u have them please respond to me so i can finish my collection.
Had em all cept Kimber n Shayna. Couldn't find them anywhere. I think Stormer was the least liked doll of em all, but I loved her. She was the least arrogant Misfit and her doll figurine was awesome. My Stormer doll had a defective leg but I wouldn't return her because she too was hard to find. I was crushed when my friend played too hard with her n her leg cracked off from her crotch. :.(
