Description
Small plastic toys, came as different animals and opened up with the key they came with. There was Sheldon the turtle, who's shell opened up and you could hide stuff in it. Also parts of them glowed and they came with a little glowing friend.

I remember having the Swan Keyper from my childhood, and I long lost her, but my older sister found her for me from ebay. Her name is Princess, and she comes with her crown, brush, pink Key, hair rollers for her hair, a hairpiece, and some other cool things. Princess has pink wings, with purple and white hearts, and she also has pink and purple hair, and she shares my shelf with Cassie, my Cat Keyper, and some other Keypers i have. These toys are neat, and they are also fun. Go onto ebay if you want a Keyper.

I'm a 90s child, had this pink dog thing that I got for christmas one year and it had a sort of a hard jewel face belly and the belly came open and you could lock it and hide things in it was that a Keyper?

I remember Keypers! I still have mine. Sheldon was my first, but I also have Tango, Princess, Bonnie, Diamond, Joyful, Pearl, Belle, Honey, Glitter, Blossom, Scamper, and Taps. All first edition colorations. I also have the Secret Stroller playset. Man, those are still cool toys. I think the only piece I've ever lost was Sheldon's cap... maybe Belle's bib too. Now I wish I could go play with them, but they're tucked away in my mom's basement.

Keypers were the BEST! I had Princess the Swan and used to take her everywhere with me. I hid all kinds of junk in her, it was great!

I had the turtle. I kept everything I could think of in him. I took him everywhere with me. He'd house my crayons on car trips...god. I'm pretty sure I still have mine somewhere in the house. Greatest toy of the 80's that could hold things.

I had the bear, the squirrel, the dog and the horse! Loved them, but unfortunately my parents found these toys worthless enough when we moved to throw them away. :( I think of rebuying them now. But then, I already rebuy so many toys at the moment (Polly Pockets, Magic Nursery dolls, Cupcake dolls, Cherry Merry Muffin dolls...), I don't know where to store them all! :)

I had all of these I loved them. Sheldon (turtle) was my first. there was Fancy (snail), Princess (swan) Tango (orange bug), Keyboard (penguin) Diamond (pony) Joyful (Rabbit) Baseball playing Kangaroo. There were more thats all I can think of. The wee bugs were called the finders. and the names were connected with the keyper. Sheldons bug glowed in the dark and was called nightlite. Tango's bug was called footloose.

Ohmigosh! I was actually looking on here to find out what these were called. I had the swan princess. I loved her plastic crown and long hair. I used to hide my diary key in my Keyper. I think my mom got her for me at Lionel Playworld. That was the same year I got a hamster from Woolworth's. Good times, good times.

I had lots of the Keypers but only have Sheldon now, luckily still got his key, lost his Finder but just won one on Ebay to replace it. Anyone wanting keys/brushes or Keypers try EBAY,including international sellers :) Also look in your local charity shops/thrift stores, car boot sales and yard sales.

@Kogal: I'm over two years late with a response, but your pink dog was one of three designs of Secret Keepin pups, not Keypers. Not much info of them on the web; they weren't widely popular. All I know is that they were produced by Kenner in 1994. Hope this helps!
