tiny dolls with big eyes and small bodies, they were about the size of a thumb and they came in lttle nekclaces.

I think you're thinking of Liddle Kiddles. They had some that came in pop bottles or little spoons you could wear as necklaces. My sister was obsessed with them. I remeber they had barbie hair and big heads and impossibly tiny clothes.
