Oh Geez! I had this doll! I use to clip the Pixietails in my hair to wear to school. I also had the two friends, Maidenhair (?) and I can't remember the other one. There was a storybook too.

I even had the blanket for my bed. Beige fleece with all the characters on it. My sister and I would steal eachother's Pixietails, they never gave you enough :)

I had Lady Lovely Locks, and I also remember that when I was a non-conformist teenager, I thought it would be the coolest thing in the world to clip the PixieTail clips into my hair and go to high school. (Actually, it WAS pretty cool- at least my friends thought so.) I was also that girl who carried a Care Bears lunch box to high school for kitsch value, LOL.

oh....I loved these...in my Barbie playing they were the preteens. I still have them all but the plastic has gotten sticky and bleached out in spots, especially the little mermaid doll. :( But their little shoes and dresses fit my Blythe dolls perfectly! Ha! I'm a 30 year old that still plays with dolls. WHAT?
Chris - January 09, 2008 - Report this comment
I LOVED the pixietails. I'd wear them in my hair and pretend I was Maidne Fairhair or Lady Lovelylocks. Heehee.
Jenn - February 10, 2008 - Report this comment
Ooo I had Maiden Fairhair and loooved her! She had long wavy brunette hair and an irridescent blue dress. I always wanted to wear the pixietales in my hair to school but mom was afraid I would loose them.

I had LLL, she was one of my favorites. I only had her though, so she was always the daughter of one of my Barbies. I named her Melissa, and years after I got her, I cut her hair into an awful bob (b/c I hadn't brushed her hair for ages). My mom gave away all my and my sister's Barbie stuff, b/c she never wanted to save anything :(
Ann - April 29, 2008 - Report this comment
I have Maiden Curlycrown, the redhead.
Nika - June 09, 2008 - Report this comment
I had Maiden CurlyCrown, but I gave her a bob when my parents told me we were moving...I was 9 but I'd be so happy to have her in her original condition now!

I have Lady Lovelylocks and Maiden Fair Hair. My grandmother got me the purple dragon. I also have a coloring book and several VHS tapes. I remember that I also had pajamas with a matching pair for a baby doll. In kindergarten, I gave out Lady Lovelylocks valentines and my 6th birthday was Lady Lovelylocks themed. Several years ago, I bought Maiden Curly Crown off of ebay.
brightbite - July 15, 2008 - Report this comment
Yup, Maiden Curly Crown was popular. I had her, too. It was a very regal doll, and I still have her. I must say though, the tights that came on the doll did not stand the test of time.

I loved these more than my Barbies! I had Lady LovelyLocks, one of her friends, the prince, Silkiemane, Duchess Ravenwaves and the Castle/Garden playset. I still have the hores and some of the pixietales, I wish I could find the rest these were awesome!!

I think pixietails should have their own catergory! lol There are so many pictures of me and my cousin as little kids with at least one pixietail in our hair at all times!
Shae - August 04, 2008 - Report this comment
I had everything right down to the tree that the little clippy things went on. They are one of the main things i remember from the eighties!!
Amanda - October 02, 2008 - Report this comment
I had Duchess Ravenwaves, who to this day I still think was the prettiest, but, hey...that's me!! lol!!

I had a bunch of these but gave them away. I think I still have a lady lovely locks but she has different clothes and pixies.....I had a dragon and the lady lovely locks and the red head and I still have a book!

I had some of these...I remember I had the girl doll that was her enemy, the standard LL doll, the prince/boy doll, and a LL mermaid doll. That last one was really pretty. They don't make dolls like these any more! And the little pixietails were so much fun to play with!

I had the doll when I was little but I lost it. I still have a lady lovely locks pillow case though!

I loved this doll and her little clip on animals. I decided to give their tails hair cuts one day . . . bad idea. I used to love the theme song to that show, but I can't for the life of me remember how it went. Yep, those clip on animals and the irridescent pink dress lived on far longer than the doll, the other dolls then inherited her stuff.

I could not remember Lady Lovelylocks and my parents have told me, my whole adult life, about this castle they put together one Christmas when I was about 4. So we decided to google it so maybe it would jog my memory. I still can't remember having these toys but apparently I did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another one fo those cartoons I adored as a child (used to record the shows on audio tape - how sad is that, heh heh), but grew to hate as an adult. Not because it isn't as cute now as it was then - I just grew to sympathize with the 'villian'.

Add me to the list of those who would clip the Pixie Tails in her hair. There is one video of me from my fourth birthday party when I got some of the dolls, and unfortunately it's on Beta Max (remember that?) so I can't recall this, but I've been told I went around wearing the Pixie Tails the entire party. I remember having three dolls: Maiden FairHair, Maiden CurlyCrown, and Duchess RavenWaves. Why I didn't have Lady LovelyLocks, I don't know...hmm...

My younger sister got Lady Lovely Locks and I had Duchess Raven Waves but I liked LLL's dress better so I convinced my sister to trade dresses with me. LOL. I also stole her pixie tails...I think that was my favorite part...you could also buy pixie tails alone, I remember getting some later for my birthday at Toys R Us.

Not only did I clip the Pixietails in my own hair, but no one was safe from them when I was little. I have pictures of me adorning my Dad, my brother, my Mom, and best of all- clipping them on the little strips of hair my Grandpa had on the sides because he was bald! LOL To this day that's my favorite picture of my Grandpa! Great memories!
