On my gosh- I forgot about this.. I still have my lightbright in the box with all those little pieces and the paper.. I use to get in trouble all the time, my mom would vaccume up the little parts and make a horrible sound in the vaccume. I think I will have to give it another try...

I remember being about 7 years old or so and the light bulb burned out in my light bright. So my grandad took the old bulb out and went to get a new one. But he left the light bright plugged in. Me being a curious 7 year old put my finger in the socket and WOW that hurt!!!! It felt like something was grinding my finger! What a shocking experience with the good old light bright.

OMG! I remember these. LiteBrite was one of my favorite toys, up until my mom vacumed up all the little pieces. The worst thing about it was that because it was a metal case... I got my hand burned a few times picking it up to show my mom.

I remember how around the edges, the holes would be malformed and you couldn't get the little pegs in. It would drive me nuts!

I am a college professor and I keep one of these in my office. I always get comments from my students about it. It still works. I am not even sure if the bulb has ever been changed.

I remember after about 30 minutes of playing with this, a burning smell would start the emanate from behind the paper.

I got one of these at a tag sale as a kid. The most fun was drawing your own back round, and being able to impress your family with light-up art work. ;)

I think as a child I thought this was one of the best toys ever. When I ran out of the black paper images, I used to create my own on pieces of paper and then plug in the pegs. Didn't always turn out great but still had fun. Would love to have one of these again for my kids.

One of my uncles bought me my first lite bright. I loved to turn off the light when I was done and seeing it all lit up. I remember the templates it came with.

I had one of these when I was a kid. I remember in when I was 13 watching a 7 year old boy use the pegs to write the "f" word on the Lite Brite he was using. Guess he loved getting attention!

My friends all had these and I wanted one but my mom was nervous that it might be a fire hazard so needless to say I never got one.

I asked santa for one and got the refill. Years later my mom and I still joke about it. Santa thought the whole thing was in the refill package.I bought the newer cube version for my kids and it was a piece of crap. It wasn't angled like the older one and more diffucult to push the pegs in. So I picked up a older one at a church sale and it's been great.

before i forget, they sell a new kind that's battery operated at any toys r us or walmart. Not as much fun without the electricity but still awesome. My 4yo didn't last long with the pieces. I need to find refills.

We would spend countless hours setting in the dark sticking the little pegs in the little holes, faces all aglow. I remember you could order more patterns for a few points or something...

I still have this toy a long time ago when I was a little kid. But now I'm old enough to play with it because I'm 28 years old. But it is packed away along with the rest of my stuff in a box before moving to Santa Fe.
