Description
Colored sand poured bottle into water, which would then accumulate to make neat sand castle-like creations.

this was magic sand because when you put it in water and lifted it out again, it would be still be dry. i remember playing with these in the bathtub...how clean can you get when you're bathing in sand? lol

I remember playing with it in an old aquarium. I loved playing with this toy back in the day, but it had to be a special day because my mother said it was very messy!

still have the original blue bottle before they put eyes on it. It just looked like a genie bottle

I played with this until we eventually lost too much of the sand (its like playdoh, you always loose a little bit each time its used) to play with it.

I was little but I remember watching my sisters playing with it and loving that genie bottle it came in!!!

I also loved magic sand.I couldn't remember what it was called for ages,noone else seemed to remember it,thought I was going nuts.Finally found a picture on the internet and presto all those great memories of playing with it came flooding back.That bottle just makes me happy looking at it.Oh the good old days.

This was a SUPER cool toy - great marketing idea w/ the genie-type bottle it was held in...i think that bottle alone is ingrained in the memory of anyone who even SAW this toy as a child. so cool.

I remember that bottle! I loved that toy! I wish I could see a picture of teh castle.
