I had Mandy and Jenny...and Becky (redhead) too! They sold sewing patterns for them so you could make them new clothes.

I had Mandy and my sister had Jenny. My dog chewed her up, but my mom just restuffed her and put a nice big heart over her chest to stitch it up. She had highlighted hair before it was popular!

My mother just found this doll deep in a closet. My daughter is enjoying her more than any new doll she has at home. She has an amazing late 1970's wardrobe, with big floppy hats, gauchos, and even roller skates. Everything is in bold prints, oranges, tans, and browns. Love it!

No she was not Holly Hobbies cousin. She was part of the My Friend dolls released by Fisher Price. The closest you can find to this doll now a days is the new Fisher Price Little Mommy dolls. Or the more expensive Mattel American Girl dolls. Fisher Price- please bring the My Friend Dolls and their quality back.

I was given Mandy as a Christmas present when I was about 6. Now my 5-yr old daughter is getting new clothes for the same doll - so cool!

I thought we had sold my Mandy doll long ago, but today we found her in a box in our storage shed! She was a bit dirty, but otherwise in great shape! We cleaned her up and my daughter's new Our Generation doll has a new best friend.

I found my Mandy doll today in a storage closet, got her out some 24 years later! My 3 yr. old daughter loves her. I loved playing with her. I read on a website that these dolls were made to go in the washing machine and dryer. Has anyone done this? Mine is a little dirty and I would love to clean her up. Let me know. Thanks!

This is a really old thread, but I put MAndy in the washer (tied in a pillowcase like the instructions mentioned to do) No problem! I air dried her overnight near a heat vent.
