I can honestly say that I owned almost all the figures. Including the houses. Though I have moved through the years I just have one figure. One of the dogs.

This was the one where in the beginning of the cartoon there was a real lady giving a speal about what was going on in Maple town. She was always in a kitchen and like wearing yellow right?

Loved the cartoon, and loved the toys. I had the white house with the fireplace and furniture, and a few of the animals. A few years ago, they had two of the videos on sale at a video store and I bought them. The medicine video and candy one.

i am now 29-years-old. still to this day, my mother brings up how much trouble she went thru to get me all the maple town figures that one christmas. i had the house and i think the beaver family. i remember how they had soft fur on the figurines, and i would "pet" them. weird.

I had these, and I might be insane, but I remeber having a large rabbit that you could put a tape in her back, and she told a (I assume) Maple Town story...her mouth moved and everything. She was dressed in Mapletown type clothes too...hmm

I still have these from when I was a kid and I absolutely loved playing with them. My dad built a house for them and i spent hours upon hours during the summer playing. love it.

This was my FAVORITE toy - way better than Alphie or Teddy Ruxbin or the Hugga Bunch Kids - and none of my friends remember it. They all think that I made it up, and even though I have the physical proof in my mother's basement, this is incredibly exciting!!!

I too am proud to say I had all the Maple Towns. The rabbits, raccoons, frannie the fox, oh that kniving little fox, the owl family, they were s cute,i still have one of them. The baby bunny family had twins. There were the white rabbts, brown rabbits and grey rabbits. I still have quite a few of them, and their furniture. I have the rabbit's house. (although its been repainted by an antsy artistic mother) Ahh, maple town..that place i wanted to be.

Loved the show and the toys!! I still have the bears and the bunnies along with a couple of the furniture sets put away in storage!! I love to watch the old episodes of the show on youtube!! I remember watching Maple Town and The World of David the Gnome in the afternoons as a kid! I live overseas now and was in Hamley's in Regent Street right before Christmas and they had the Sylvanian Families on display. They're so much like Maple Town, it took me back 20 years!!

Oh my god, I have chills going through my body. I loved this set sooo much! I really miss the toys from the 80s. I really don't think kids today have the great toys my generation had then.
Dee - September 17, 2008 - Report this comment
Why don't they make cute little things like this for kids anymore?

I still have a bunch of these--the rabbit family, the mouse family, the dog family....Bobby Bear, Sheriff Bulldog, Oscar the Otter, Mayor Dandylion...Miss Deer, the teacher...a wolf (some kind of outlaw) And little mouse and otter twins! So cute!! I still have the living room set for them too. My favorite place to be...Maple Town and me! My bf's 5-year-old daughter loves them.

I loved these! I had the rabbits and the bears, and I think some sort of schoolhouse setting? I remember having little desks and cabinets for them.

I love Mapletown! I love all those charming little animals in their cottages... this was actually a Japanese cartoon, did you know? The theme song in Japanese is really pretty, it's also on Youtube.

Who ever keeps doing these 80's sites GOD BLESS YOU!! I will have like half a memory of a song plaguing my mind, will type in a few lyrics into google and a website with the song will appear! Our generation had the best cartoons; undeniably!!

At Northgate Mall, in North Carolina, they have a toy store that sells Callico Critters, which is very similar to Maple Town. I love that they have something like that back again.

I had these when i was little i actually still have them, my niece has played with them for the past 4 years, i just can't bring myself to bring the house, the train and the post office out of the attic for her yet guess she will just have to settle for the animals for now. Why do they not make shows like this anymore i would so rather my future kids watch this and starbright and my little ponys then spongebob

OMG I'm still trying to look for any Maple Town DVDs or VHS or something! I LOVED Maple Town when I was little! My parents were really stingey with toys, though, so I only had the rabbit family and my sister had the squirrel or chipmunk family. The opening theme is on Youtube somewhere! "Maple Town and Me"...

I had the beaver family. I do not remember much of anything about these toys and I'm shocked I found them so quickly. The two things I remember: the dad beaver had blue clothes. The son had just a little pair of sea foam green shorts and white straps. I LOVED him! I named him Timothy after the mouse in The Secret of Nimh. I made him a bed out of a matchbox. I made him a Christmas tree every year from a branch off a pine tree. I adored him.
