Description
Another cartoon/toy crossover, cars which would transform into weapons of war. The toys were sort of a rip off of Transformers; they usually had some kind of dual nature ie. The bad guy had a helicopter that could also transform into a jet plane, and they main good guy had a race car that could transform into a jet also I think. Very cool show.

Less a rip-off of Transformers, more like a cross between GI Joe and Transformers because of the action figures. Love the show, and the toys were generally cool, but I have to say that the Thunderhawk was lame upon lame as toys go. I mean, here it is, the vehicle of the leader of MASK, should be coolest of all, but its transformation into a "Jet" consists entirely of opening its De Lorean style doors. Opening the car doors upwards doesn't make a jet; it makes a car with its doors opened upward.

I have to agree YJK Thunderhawk was lame. He should of had Switchblade, the helicpoter that turned into the jet.

I used to collect MASK toys when I was young. But only the small ones and not the big ones. That's what I could have afford back then. I wish that the cartoon will come back to reruns or put on DVD soon.

Matt, The show did release on DVD back in November 2006 and March 2007. From what I have read. I loved this show! And the toys, I had all of em as a kid, and loved em so much around 21 I bought them all again. That was about 3 years ago. LOL! That theme song still pops into my head all the time!

I've just given my 6 year old the DVDs and had to get him all the toys for Christmas as he LOVES it. Even his transformer toys are now MASK ones lol

The best vehicle was Raven, a black sort of 2 door Thunderbird car that switches into a boat. I would double it as my knight Rider Kit car, LOL. Man i miss the old day cartoons. Better story lines and drawings back then. Imagine that.

after the TRANSFORMERS and KNIGHT RIDER...in theatre... I really wish to see M.A.S.K !! xD if they could make a robot from a car and a car that could talk, a flying car and a jetcopter would be easy, right? :D

Hey y'all, just got done watching some clips of MASK on You Tube. Don't forget about the 4 issues comic book that DC Comics published. Man, I wish I still have those issues. =P

Okay...true about Thunderhawk, but didn't the spoiler also pop up to create the engine exhausts or something? I agree it would be cool to see this as a movie...most of the cool toys from the 80s would blow away anything now.

Gotta disagree on the Thunderhawk; its gull-wing doors made it any easy crossover for playing Back to the Future, a franchise that was sorely lacking in any action figure/playset tie-ins.

I still have Thunderhawk somewhere. LOL, it is actually a red 3rd generation bodystyle Camaro!

I placed with all the toys when I was younger. I still have them all, including the gas station that converted into the MASK headquarters! Boy, some great memories! Never knew it was a comic though!

I love G.I. Joe and keep collecting the 3 3/4" figures and stumbled upon MASK maybe a year ago online. What awesome memories. Me and my brother watching the cartoon every day after school. Then the toys came out. Between us and our friend, we had all of them. I just bought a couple and am looking to buy two more for my birthday: Firefly and Firecracker. Have the Stinger and the Gator. Awesome toys. Getting the DVDs next. MASK is awesome!
