Description
It was a Disney toy phone. You selected a picture of (eg.) Goofy, then you would call him and he would "talk" to you.

I think this toy is what started my loving of telephones. I have looked every where to try to buy one but can't find anything. This brings back great memories. And lucky to have two in the same year!! WOW

My sister had this when we were little. I was jealous so I pulled the cord out and broke it. But before I did that we would play with that thing forever.

A couple of girls in my neighborhood had this phone, and another one had this phone , a sesame street one an d a muppets one. not too long ago i saw piture if a cabb age patch one. Seems like ther was possibly a care ear one and smurfs one. makes you wonder how many diffrent character talking phones were produced in the 80s. The most comon thing I remember happening to them is the rola disk were you looked up the phone number would jam up , which was connec ted to th e buttons that would also be un pushable. A talking phone was neat when it was working lol!

i remember having this ph back in 1986 as a 4 year old, my 2 big sisters jody and colby had these 2 really mad mickey mouse home telephones that was pluged into wall through the phone lines in their rooms, 1 was a retro 1970's 1978 mickey mouse ph produced by american telecommunications for disney corperation, the other was a mickey mouse ph that hit the markets in 1986 by tyco, the hand set that you put to your ear to talk was in the shape of a backpack and both of them still work today all these years later, it was a priverlage when i was little having 2 late teenage big sisters

OMG!! I loved this phone. I just stumbled on this site and as I'm going down memory lane, looking at all the toys that I treasured, I can't help but wonder what happened to them?

If I could buys this phone, I would. I loved this toy. I've been looking on the web for a few days now and I finally found it. It was difficult. I am 33 years old and this was one of my two favorite toys that I had. Remember the Kenner Tree House. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been looking for this phone for years. I played Goofy over and over until it wore out. He was my favorite. However, I was not playing with it by 1980, and mine didn't look like the ones in the 80's photo of "profile Mickey" at the top. The 2nd photo, with "frontal Mickey" is the original version - the one I covet. So glad I found this site to clear up the difference in models! Only two toys I loved from childhood - this and my 2XL (which I still have).

I remember playing with this phone at my grandmother's house when I was a child with all my other cousins. It was like her only toy lol but we all loved it. I actually came upon this site because I was over my gram's house tonight going through things as she has passed on and found the phone! Wondering what it may be worth today I looked it up online but haven't found too much info. The only thing is it isn't playing and I've been looking at it and so close to getting it to work again, also to answer an earlier question it is actually a record that plays when you hear the voices. My problem is the thing that spins the record spins, it just doesn't touch the record to spin it. I think a piece may have come off it that made it touch and spin the record. So far I tried a pencil eraser and have gotten sound out it's just playing too fast. I think I'll have my handyman dad look at it otherwise idk. I'm sure my kids would still enjoy it sound or no sound it's just a bit frustrating. Esp. since it's not like they would have a customer service dept. or anything like that for extra parts or to fix it lol.
